We really enjoyed our stay at this hostel. There are different activities in the bar each night such as mario kart and flip cup competitions, bingo and quizzes, which is a great way to socialise and meet people. The free breakfast is amazing too - fresh bagels and muffins. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfy, there...

I have stayed here twice now. The first time a friend and I stayed in a private room. For the price it was perfect, clean with a mini fridge. There was no private bathroom but there was never a problem with a busy shower or toilets. The second time a friend and I went and stayed in a mixed dorm....

The accommodations were a little cramped at first, but the other people staying were lovely and the staff was very accommodating. The beds were outstandingly comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was a game changer in terms of food budgeting. The beaver bar was the perfect place at the end of the day to hang out and the kitchen/lounge was the...

My stay here was not the best, facilities do not support full capacity, not enough showers / toilets, 6 bed girls dorm a little overcrowded, building smells like old feet, some staff were lovely but others a little dismissive. Ok for 1 or 2 nights but I hightailed after that.

Friendly, safe and comfortable hostel right in the heart of Downtown Vancouver. Excellent value for money, includes breakfast and great wifi by hostel standards. Staff are very friendly and make the stay memorable. The daily activities allow you to explore some of the best sights of Vancouver and meet new people

While the facilities are a 4, the hostel made Vancouver fun and exciting. They have events every morning and evenings and are a great way to meet people. However, if you're not into the social aspect, I'm sure this would also be a great hostel for you.

Hello and thanks for the feedback. We are finishing up our bathroom renovations at the moment, thanks for everyone's patience with this project. It should just be a couple more weeks. Thanks again,

As a solo traveller, Samesun was the best choice ever! They have free walking tours and a restaurant/bar where you can get to meet people and of course new friends! Also, as a plus, they offer to their guests special prices for food and drinks that helps a lot the backpacker life :) I completely recommend this accommodation! The stuff...

The breakfast was great. Everything else not so great. Bathroom was dirty with inconvenient cleaning hours usually around 7-8 am. Room was tiny and smelly. Everything looks old and broken. Location was not ideal either, quite a number of homeless people around the hostel.

Hello, We have rescheduled our bathroom cleaning times. Also in Vancouver, there are homeless people most places, one of the joys of West Coast living. Thanks for staying with us,

Staying in Granville Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
