I stayed at the Corkscrew Inn while visiting my daughter in Kitsilano. I do a lot of travelling, have stayed in a lot of hotels, inns and B&B's - this is by far one of the best. The accommodation is incredibly comfortable, the rooms are beautifully appointed - with all of the comforts you could want. The breakfast was excellent...

This is a lovely place to stay. The cleanliness is perfect, Karen and Wayne are the ultimate hosts, the food is incredible and the attention to detail is second to none. There is tea and coffee available 24hrs a day ( and biscuits ), they provide a very comprehensive list of the local attractions, a detailed street map, hints and...

My wife and I were guests here for several nights at the beginning of our honeymoon. We stayed in the British India room on the second floor and found the accommodations to be quite beautiful (especially loved the large bathtub). Maps were plentiful and they provided a binder with sleeves detailing anything and everything one might need to know about...

It was our first time in Canada and we loved the Corkscrew Inn!! Karen was very knowledgeable. She not only gave us a wonderful place to stay and an amazing breakfast, but also great advice about visiting Kitsilano, Granville Market, Grouse Mountain and Stanley Park. Highly recommended and we well definitely stay at the Corkcrew again!!

The corkscrew is well appointed, super clean, and very interesting. As I mentioned above, the staff is quite hard working and very friendly. They keep their B&B extremely clean. The breakfast is also excellent.

The room was very clean and adequate. I loved the corkscrew theme throughout. It is conveniently located near many restaurants withing walking distance. It's location is close to a good variety of shopping and many good restaurant's. The restoration of the Inn from it's former use has been done...

We couldnt have wished for a nicer end to our trip in Canada than our 3 night stay at the Corkscrew Inn. The house, which has been restored to an exceptional standard, is ideally located, being just a moments walk from the heart of the vibrant Kitsilano area and within easy distance of downtown Vancouver. We stayed in the British...

We had a pleasant stay at the Corkscrew while attending a UBC convocation, we brought my mother who stayed on the main floor while we stayed on the ground level. If you want privacy and quiet in the morning remember to ask for a room other then the one that is opposite the breakfast area. The breakfast was lovely, and...

My wife and I snickered at the name as we booked a room at the Corkscrew Inn for a night in Vancouver on our way up to Whistler. When we arrived, however, we were completely charmed by the gorgeously restored house, the convenient location and the clean and well appointed room. The attention to detail was impressive and the obsession...

Staying in Kitsilano

Neighbourhood Profile
Kitsilano
Kitsilano is one of Vancouver's most transformative neighbourhoods. With a long history of coffee culture and poetry readings, its days of flower children and buskers may be long-gone, but not without leaving their mark on the number of organic restaurants and fair-trade cafes in the area. At the centre of Kitsilano ("Kits" for short) the almost idyllic expanse of Kits Beach offers the opportunity for a relaxed afternoon of beach volleyball or sunbathing. Along with the beachfront, nearby public pools and trendy street-beats have driven up the homeowners prices, making it a haven for stylish home goods stores, from design and furniture, to supplies and appliances. The multitude of both families and public spaces also make it a happening neighbourhood in the summer, when festivals and fairs take to Kits' streets.
