This lodge is different. It is located on Flores Island near the Ahousaht village and at the start of the Wildside Trail. If you aren't hiking the trail there is probably no reason for you to visit. If you are hiking the trail this lodge is your only place to stay if you aren't camping. For that purpose it is...

The Aauuknuk Lodge is on an island in Ahousat territory, about a 30 minute boat ride from Tofino. The least expensive way to get there is from the Tofino where you can take a water taxi. Call the lodge to check taxi times. The lodge is just outside the Ahousat community and it is actually a big long trailer that...

Our stay was perfect. Great Lodge, Good people and attention. It is adequate to go with kids, groups, etc. You can cook your meals or ordered them. The kitchen is fully equipped. The village is small, I think it only has 1 store, then if you want to bring your own food, before going to the island buy food, just...

Stayed here for a couple of nights and couldn't have chosen a better place to stay around Tofino. Lots to explore on the island and beautiful hikes and beaches. The lodge was very clean and the staff was great. They always make sure your fed. The owner picked me up from the docks and on the way to the lodge...

Great lodge, very quit and in the middle of nowhere! Great place and clean. Good breakfast and nice service. Also a cool wild side trail of 22 km roundtrip. The owners come to pick you up and it is easy to access by boat(20 min ride). Highly recommend this place.

We are a family of 5 (3 kids) and stayed at the lodge for 3 days. The hospitality was great - the rooms clean and inviting, as were the bathrooms. The wild side trail was incredible - pristine beaches and rain forest trails. Our meals were delicious and it was very interesting to speak to everyone living on the island....

This is a great place to stay when you do the Walk the Wild Side Trail. Good food, clean and quite and affordable. The rooms are very basic and tiny but you want to be outside not hanging in your room right?

We (a family of 4 with 2 kids aged 6 and 8) had the nicest experience at this place. Our worry was how to get there in case we don't get one of the two regular water-taxis, but no problem! There seems to always be one at Tofino harbour or you call one. We had a fun-ride in the boat...

I stayed with my wife and two daughters at the Aauuknuk Lodge where Tom Paul, his wife Marsha and Daughter Shaylene made us have an extraordinary time. The place is super clean and comfortable and the food cooked by Tom is great. If you want to enjoy the hiking on magical Wild Side Trail, only 35 minutes from Tofino, located...
