I came to Whistler for work in early December. The firm usually puts me at the Fairmont next door, but the Four Seasons had surpassed the Fairmont on every level except the location.

A couple issues with housekeeping, restaurant staff, and ski concierge did occur. Housekeeping was neglected for one day, the waitress at SideCut broke my water bottle, and the ski concerige almost ripped my ski boots liner. Despite all these problems, I would still recommend the hotel because of how the front desk manager James took care of the problems. He addressed the problems quickly and in a reasonable manner. The housekeeping manager and the ski concierge manager also personally came and apologize.

Most of the staff at the ski concierge provided excellent service. They would get down to their knees and help you take off your boots. This has never happened during all my stays at the Fairmont.

Guest service was always quick to bring around the house cars and help with any of your luggage needs. Concierge also got me a very last minute reservation at the Rimrock Cafe, which was completely booked everywhere else.

The spa and pool facilities was excellent as well. My girlfriend also loved the generous daily wine tastings and smores.

Came here for a 2 night stay and it was just as good as last year. Christmas time is supposed to be one of the busiest times of the year, but if you go before the 22nd it shouldnt he as expensive and busy. The only issue was that there wasn’t any snow to ski on. Of all the runs only an icy 7 runs were open.

Food at side cut is consistent but we opted to order delivery instead for a broader selection, and didn’t feel like driving out.

I’m not sure about the entire going green movement either, but Fairmont and Four Seasons Whistler doesn’t offer toothbrushes, toothpaste etc. anymore. In my opinion, we may as well Airbnb townhome next time (and I’m sure we can request for toothbrush’s from an owner. If this is the trend, hotels in Whistler will fall behind globally in 5-star quality. When I stay at a 5-star in Monte Carlo, Shanghai, Hong Kong etc. I do expect the service, amenities and toiletries to match the price I pay. Tooth brushes could be asked if required post booking by email etc. but to have a 5 star hotel set it as unavailable by default shows a drop in quality (not sustainability) because you can always provide wooden tooth brushes etc. (but it’s just not as cost effective for a hotel). It’s now evident that as Airbnb raises their game with service and takes a bite out of hotel occupancy, hotels are doing the opposite and lower their bar.

Good experience overall and Four Seasons still has the best rooms in Whistler.

This hotel is beautifully situated at the foot of Blackcomb mountain, but due to a series of small but important fails does not live up the brand’s own high standards. (I’ve been a long term fan of this brand so especially disappointed). The main problems are: first, overpriced extras and constant chiseling upselling that is totally unsuitable to a resort of this class. For example: $20 extra per day for internet that works, $42 for Buffett breakfast, a $30 top up on a $300 massage for including feet, etc. Second, many small things about the room that were broken or just off, including a broken thermostat, broken bathtub drain, and weird ill-matched furniture and odd closet space in the room. Third, poorly trained staff, most of whom seem to be on an extended commonwealth gap year and were young and overly familiar. An example-the server at Sidecut Restaurants $300 dinner asking if we were done or we’d like to “pick at that some more” as if we were snarfing fish and chips at an East End pub. Fourth: the lack of places to eat or hang out while off the slopes. There is only one restaurant on location which serves as breakfast spot, dinner spot, and sports bar hang out, failing to hit the mark on any. All together this tallied to feeling chintzed in a luxury hotel. The positives were the concierge, ski concierge, and guest services which handles a lot of luggage and transport effortlessly. And the location. See others’ reviews about skiing at Whistler Blackcomb. I hope the Four Seasons Whistler returns itself to Four Seasons standards.

The room(s) were very comfortable however, on checking in, we were told there would be no housekeeping unless it was requested. Over a five day stay, no one followed up on our housekeeping needs or make an effort to schedule. Only, one elevator was in service on our wing with Covid 19 restrictions which resulted in waits. The food quality in the hotel restaurants was overpriced and subpar compared to other restaurants in the area.
This hotel does not meet the criteria of world class outside of its spectacular location.

Our stay at the Four Seasons over the Christmas period was exceptional. All pre-arranged activities (via both concierge and ski concierge) were in place and ran very smoothly. We had the pleasure of receiving a room upgrade on check-in, which was a real treat – our new room view was spectacular.

I cannot fault the level of service we experienced (loved the “spiked” hot chocolate from the vintage camper and the heated pool and sauna), and the Christmas dinner left us very satisfied. I was particularly impressed with the availability and regularity of courtesy cars and shuttles to and from several meeting points between Whistler Village and the hotel…even guests at the Fairmont were accommodated on a Four Seasons shuttle or two as they had been left waiting too long for the Fairmont vehicle.

We would undoubtedly stay at this resort again and can highly recommend it to anyone visiting Whistler, particularly during the Festive Season.

Rooms are clean and spacious, service is great and they are very polite and accomadating.

-Please put a water dispenser in your fitness centre/gym. Global warming and plastics are destroying the planet, time to get those out of your hotels! If you must use tetra pak bottles, or paper cups. But cheap plastic bottles diminishes this high end brand of the hotel, please move on from single use plastics, same with the in room toiletries.

-Restaurant felt very under staffed, this is probably a function of covid, hope that changes in time.

-Would be really nice to have an adult only pool. The pool is pretty much jammed with screaming children all day every day.

Otherwise a great stay!

Oversell a five star experience, however it was not flawless. I enjoyed my upgraded room and the front desk staff was very nice. However using excuses like "the hotel is full" is not an excuse for poor service at this price point. Took from 4:30pm to 9:30pm just to get four extra hangers to my room so I could finish unpacking, two days I was gone from 9 to 4pm, and somehow my room was never cleaned until after 5pm. My final night housekeeping was so late servicing my room that turndown service came 5 minutes after daytime service, and I got to listen to the two of them discussing what to do and not do. I shouldn't have to be disturbed in my room multiple times for hours on end when I am gone all day leaving a huge window to clean the room without disturbing me. Room service took 45 mins to an hour for delivery every time which wasn't devastating but annoying. Restaurant is not large enough to fit guests in at breakfast causing a large queue to form at the hostess stand, seems like poor planning and gives off a cruise ship feeling. Lastly I had a few billing errors at check out with my package, however they were resolved after I pointed them out, again I shouldn't have to do that though.

I have a deep love for four seasons. They just go above and beyond in terms of making a property feel like home in all the right ways. This was my first trip to whistler & my first trip during Covid. I was very happy to see that they are implementing proper safety protocols & I felt very comfortable staying here (like some, I was a little nervous traveling.) I found that all the guests I encountered were extremely conscientious also. Simon at the front desk was phenomenal! Thanks for the great customer service Simon! The service at the pool was excellent too! I had a few minor items that needed tending to but nothing worth knock off a star for, all things considered. Beautiful property, very well maintained. A very relaxing stay. I’m extremely happy I stayed here & will be recommending to others

We fell in love with the Four Seasons two years ago and haven't looked back since. The service is always amazing and you can tell the difference of staying in their resort over other hotels. Dio at the pool was so helpful everyday when we were getting our spot for the day. You could see him taking the time to help everyone and it was refreshing to have someone fully committed to what they were doing. We also enjoyed the shuttle service to the village for dinner and that they cleaned it in between and made sure we weren't getting on before they did so. We will be back very soon!
