Can not wait to become seasonals next year! We camped here many weekends this summer and never experienced a bad moment. It is a quiet and spacious place to relax. Seasonals are friendly and helpful and I cannot say enough about the owners and how welcome they make you feel. I love seeing the kids having fun without having to... More

Tented earlier this summer, and again in August. First time was OK, nice area and close to the water. The beach was a little dirty, but OK. The only real complaint was the constant running of a chainsaw at a beachfront lot. I'm OK with some noise, but I'm talking early in the AM and for hours. Hearing the mother... More

Just spent out first long weekend at great bear. Beautiful grounds sloping down to the beautiful St John River. Grounds are well laid out and very clean. People are nice and laid back. No hurries, no worries

We were lucky enough to spend our evening at Great Bear on the Plateau site. When we arrived around sunset the staff were waiting for us with a friendly welcome and easy check in. We set up our tent at the waters edge and enjoyed the landscape - don't forget your camera or this stunning location! The facilities were clean... More

Everything about our stay at Great Bear Camping was beyond our expectations. Check in was flawless. We originally booked over the phone without ever seeing the place. When we arrived we were offered a very warm welcome. We were given water as it was terribly hot. The staff came over to meet and great us and our dogs. We didn't... More

Cute little campground around 45 mins from Fredericton. We tented at the Plateau and its fantastic. Very private treed large site. You are two feet from the water. I stuck my lawn chair in the water and basked in the sun while watching the boats go up and down the river. Two picnic table and firepot. Great spot! Definitely recommened... More

I was looking for a campground not far from home as I have two little children, and my husband and I decided to try Great bear Campground. We live in Fredericton so if things didn't work out, we wouldn't have been too far from home. It was our first time camping with the kids. We have a 9-month old baby... More
