We celebrated our anniversary with a golf trip and made a fantastic B&B find with Bill and Shirley's wonderful home, their great company and her tasty and ever-changing breakfasts. We stayed in the downstairs suite. Golf at the Lakes GC is 15 minutes away. Good restaurants 15 to 30 minutes drive. A nice Catholic church is 10 minutes away too....

We were in the down stairs suite. Very private with a view of the lake and exit to a deck. We kept our "picnic" items in the refrigerator and sometimes ate a light lunch of cheese, smoked salmon, apples, crackers, etc there or in Sydney. Lots of places to eat nearby in Sydney and breakfast was always gourmet and varied....

We stayed 3 nights with Bill & Shirley at their beautiful home on Bras d'Or Lake and they made us feel more like family than guests. We stayed in their very spacious downstairs Celtic suite with a walk-out deck overlooking the lake. It even had steps right down to the shore! The breakfasts each morning were simply delightful with an...

We stayed at Bryden Manon B & B for five nights early Aug. 2013. Such a comfortable, beautiful place with outstanding hosts, Bill and Shirley. Our breakfasts were healthy and delicious, could not have asked for more. We were pleased and would return if occasion arises. We would give this a five star rating! Thanks Shirley and Bill, you are...

We have stayed at several bed and breakfasts and I must say this is the finest. This is not a business these people are doing it because they love to entertain and have company. Both Shirley and Bill are very well educated but were two of the nicest and down to earth people I have ever met. Giving them a...

Bryden Manor is a large private home with 2 guest suites….a quiet oasis of acres overlooking Bras d’Or Lake. The home is modern, spotlessly clean, and beautifully furnished. We stayed 3 nights in the Celtic Suite which is extremely spacious. It includes a large sitting room with comfortable furniture and a big screen tv, a fully equipped kitchen, and separate...

It was based on most of the comments on this site that we made a big decision to go B&B at the Dryden Manor. My wife was very reluctant and sceptical as she has never stayed at a B&B in all her travels. This was going to be a new experience for her, and what a pleasant and delightful one...

Host Bill & Shirley made us feel at home the second we entered their home for a 2 nights stay. The breakfast was fabulous and plentiful. Lodging was comfortable and quiet in their little isolated paradise. The location of the B&B is centered to most Cape Breton attractions. I would strongly recommend this B&B for a visit to this magnificent...

If you only want to stay one night don't bother looking into this accomodation. After researching dates available, emailing, planning, when we went to reserve we found they only accept 2 night bookings although it doesn't say that on the website (Shirley said she should add it and I have to agree that should be on the site). We also...

In response to your review, I would like to thank you for bringing to my attention that our web site did not include a minimum stay of two nights. This has now been corrected. I am also "disappointed" that you were unable to stay with us as I am sure you would have enjoyed your stay just as much as...

My wife and I are seasoned travellers and have recently returned from a fall trip to Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. We stayed at the Bryden Manor Bed and Breakfast for the entire four-day stay on Cape Breton Island. We could not have asked for a more superb and centrally-located accommodation for our visit. The Bryden Manor is located...
