We were travelling out of Toronto for a vacation in Mexico and decided to stay here the day before to ensure we could get to the airport quickly and early. What a great decision. The hotel is right across from Terminal 3 on the upper level and accessible from an indoor walkway.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. If you prefer, as a Marriott Bonvoy member you can skip the entire in person checkin process by using the app and even use your phone as your room key.
The rooms are spacious and clean. There is even complimentary Starbucks coffee thanks to an in-room Keurig coffee machine. My only complaint is that on both occasions there was little attention given to replenishing this so we only had one non-decaf coffee on our return stay, and very little (only one) sugar on both stays.
The soundproofing of the rooms is amazing. We were facing the airport and could not hear planes landing or taking off.
The highlight of our stay was definitely the room service menu. It has great variety and many fresh items for all tastes. Worth checking it out on the hotel website. I had the Aztec bowl which was delicious and nutritious.
If you are going to have breakfast at the restaurant in the morning and don’t mind a buffet, I recommend upgrading to the Club level as you will have a buffet included for less than the price of the buffet in the restaurant for 2 adults.
Will definitely return when travelling from Toronto!

I realize you do pay a premium to stay here for the convenience of location but I thought it was worth it to wake up and only have a quick 5 min walk to the WestJet kiosks in Terminal 3 to prepare for our trip.
Front desk reception was very pleasant and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable,.
Had a drink in the bar to watch the Blue Jays game and the bartender was friendly as well.
We would definitely stay here again.

Wow this hotel has completely turned around ! Refurbished with modern comfortable design . The bedroom was comfortable and though we could not get a Club floor room , the rooms we got were great . Our first night there was super restful and the front desk staff/ reception were perfectly professional and affable .
Rooms are hygienic and beds comfortable .
2 water bottles are provided and a small coffee maker .
There are limited toiletries so make sure you have your toothbrush, cotton pads , razor etc . I would have hoped for slippers and a robe for use at $500 p/night . Or for us parts of our stay nights .
The warm oak scented shampoo , conditioner, shower gel , body lotion and hand wash were pleasantly scented and gender neutral . Bathrooms now have a renovated double shower stall .
We spent only a few hours in our second trip.
Bellhop Sunny was a sweet guy and super helpful .
We enjoyed the bar and the Empress Cocktail Gin is a must !
The barkeeper was an incredibly ,efficient lady who kept the vibe positive , classy and gave fantastic recommendations with the menus .
The second stay was great apart from a teen Soccer team who ran riot through the 5th and 6th floor .
Their behaviour and loud noises , slamming doors , yelling in corridors , squeezing into the elevators was pretty poor . If my kids behaved like that on a supervised team event I would be appalled .
They were disrespectful , using a lot of foul language and pushed through an elderly couple . Poor Ambassadors for their school, Club and supervisors whom were not visibly present. We called front desk to plead for some of the 5 sleep hours we had on our 24hour travel trip . Security attended the kids but an hour later they kicked off again .
Our room on 5th also had a lot of loud creaks and bangs from the area near the window.
I let front desk know as we checked out at 4am.
All in all the issues were not the hotels fault , thoughI would suggest they accommodate teen soccer clubs in one floor and one wing WITH their supervisors flanking .
The staff were great and its a far superior hotel than it was 5 years ago !

All in all , I would say go and don't bother waiting for shuttles to other hotels for 30-40 mins as thats precious sleep time .

Highly recommend as its a great location near the departure area.

The hotel is on the site of the airport so you can be checking in without going outside such a bonus. I had a club room which gave access to the sound where hors d'oeuvres are offered in the evening and breakfast in the morning which was very good.
The staff were excellent very helpful and the room itself was beautiful with fast wi-fi
As I only stayed overnight for my onward connection I wasn't able to try the pool or gym perhaps next time.
Although the cost is quite expensive compared to the off site hotels the convenience makes this worth while. I would certainly return.

We recently needed an unexpected overnight in Toronto. We arrived very late 130am and needed to stay until the following evening between two flights. Checkin was a breeze. I used online checkin and my key was waiting. They recognized my Titanium status with an upgrade to an upper floor Club Room with an airport view. We were granted access to the Sheraton Club Lounge which has now been moved to the second floor and late checkout the next day at 4pm.

This entire hotel has recently gone through a major renovation. We loved the new feel and thoughtful coordination and accents everywhere. This thoughtfulness also showed in the recently renovated room. Everything felt brand new from the shower to the super comfy beds. For charging, there were plugs and USBs everywhere. Every amenity we have come to expect from the best Sheratons were present except one glaring omission. No refrigerator! We found ice on the floor for cold beverages so it didn’t ruin our stay. If you must have a fridge for medication, you probably have to request one.

Like the other renovated areas of the hotel, the new Club Lounge was beautiful. When you swipe your room card to enter, two heavy solid doors swing open toward you. (Very dramatic!) Inside we found a generous breakfast offering which ended a bit early for a Sunday morning (930am). All day coffee, soft drinks, water and juice are available along with some grab and go snacks. There are also happy hour drinks and food which we did not get to experience.

We also had lunch at the restaurant. The food was average and the service not too good. This will not be what I remember most about this hotel.

Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and helpful. We were slightly annoyed that late check out was agreed upon arrival. When we confirmed it the next morning, it was not there. The next agent did confirm it without hesitation and redid our keys. In spite of her effort, our keys stopped working at noon and we had to get them redone again.

Overall we had an excellent stay and will return again because Sheraton Gateway will likely be en route of future travels that often take us through Toronto. It is by far the most convenient hotel to do so.

Stayed twice, both at the beginning and the end of a trip to Ontario.

Booking a Sheraton Club room is well worth the extra cost. These rooms are on floors 6 thru 8. Note that for now at least, a room key is required to access floors 7 and 8 but not floor 6. Believe that before the renovation, floor 6 was not a Sheraton Club floor and for some reason, the elevator has yet to be updated. The Sheraton Club is now located in the lobby of the hotel on level 2, a real improvement.

The hotel is in a great location just across the street from Terminal 3 and is connected. The trains to Terminal 1 and Downtown are right at the entrance to the hotel. If driving, one can stop at the front door on ground level right across from Terminal 3 then go in and up escalator to level 2 and check in. There is doorman just inside the door who will then allow luggage to be unload luggage and taken up to one's room. Just don't take forever. Parking is accessed just a little further along the road in front of Terminal 3. Watch carefully for the signs to avoid having to go around. It can be truly arduous if one should then also miss the turn to get back without going out of the airport and then finding one's way back. Once in the parking garage, take the 1st turn to the left and then keep heading up to the very top.

We did encounter 3 annoyances. Signage to get up to the top of the parking garage, especially at the 1st turn, is not great. Lighting in the bathroom of our room was adequate but not the best. Reaching the toilet paper hanger while seated is very awkward. just took it off the hanger and set it on the top of vanity.

Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Spending 3 nights here waiting for a charter to Greenland. Had to fly in early because of current difficulties with air travel and luggage handling. Nice hotel, convenient to airport and train to Toronto.

The problem is the resurant, which the front desk states is contracted out to another organization. When I attempted to order dinner last night, they asked me my food allergies, which are common ones, and then told me that they could not accomodate me, because their: tomatoes and cantaloupe might cross contaminate my food. I was in shock. I asked them, "can't you be careful?". They said "no", basically denying me access to food.

I talked to the front desk several times. My options were: chips & candy from their snack counter, pizza delivery from uber eats (the fat and processed food makes me really sick), taxi somewhere, try to walk out of the large international airport through train tracks and highways and try to find fast food.

This morning I tried to get a bagel from the coffee bar, and Erika, a waitress, toasted a bagel for me, guarding it from cross contamination. Whew, huge ordeal Sheraton Gateway.

Check in was slow and painful. There is a charge for bottle water of 20 Sols which is the most expensive rate we encounter in all of our travels, all other hotels offered complimentary bottle water in the rooms. When asked at front desk about how to brush our teeth without bottle water, the response was very unpleasant to say the least. Hint go to their second floor gym and get bottle water from the big water cooler with the complimentary glasses provided. I guess being an airport hotel they don't need to offer friendly service. It was very convenient being attached to airport though.

I chose to stay here again based solely on location and convenience. Parking right at the airport and being within minutes of the check in counters really helped with all the chaos at Pearson. The hotel was recently renovated and we had a runway view room with club lounge access which was nice. They had snacks and drinks in the lounge which you access with your key card. When you tap the card to open the door, these double dark wooden doors swing open which was kind of a nice touch. We were also able to pop down for breakfast which was nice and convenient. The room was large and the bed was excellent with nice crisp linens and great pillows. We ordered room service which was really quite good and arrived within 30mins or so. All in all and excellent stay at the Sheraton Gateway. Looking forward to our next trip in November.

Really enjoyed our two stays at this hotel at the Toronto Airport! We stayed twice in a ten day time span as we were coming into and then flying out of the airport. We didn’t want to have to leave the airport property since we were catching other planes and this Sheraton was the perfect solution. Rooms were spacious and well furnished. The bathrooms were nicely outfitted with good amenities a great shower and enough towels. It is well worth the cost to upgrade to Club Level as this provides guests with breakfast, snacks and beverages at any hour and a terrific evening appetizer buffet. There is a full bar available as well. Very nice. Highly recommended.

It is practically at the airport. You just walk across the access street or the airport, and you'll be at the airport's Terminal 3. Certainly no cab needed.
