Beautiful home & property! Peaceful backyard for relaxing and reading. Amazing breakfasts with friendly hostesses. I have never had 'French toast' like it. It is a nice walk to the theatres, restaurants and downtown.

Our stay began by being greeted by our hosts David and Lynda at their door. They were so sweet and friendly. They explained a couple of house rules, gave us a key and let us park our bikes in their garage. We went straight to our room for a relaxing jacuzzi before heading out for dinner. The home is in... We stayed last weekend at Ben Brae and were very disappointed. Told not to wear shoes in house and room was so small that had to sit on bed to let my husband pass. They don't tell you the beds are full size. I slept on bathroom floor. Breakfast was good though and owners were pleasant. Paid $132 totally overpriced.

Linda and David are amiable hosts who delight in making their guests feel at home. Our family of five had all the rooms in the house and were made to feel more like family than visitors. The upstairs rooms were all spacious and comfortable. I had the downstairs room, which received a poor review from another individual. While the room... More

We came for a weekend away. Dave and Lynda are gracious hosts as others have described. Loved our room, the master suite with a huge bathroom and a gas fireplace. The bed was firm and comfortable. Appreciated the fact that we could walk to restaurants and the Shaw Festival theatres. Be sure to see Peter and the Starcatchers at the... More

Home and grounds were absolutely beautiful with a lovely patio to relax on. We had the Chablis room which was upstairs. Room was very spacious with a walk-in closet. The bathroom had a whirlpool bath and separate shower. Delightful gourmet breakfasts Gracious and accommodating hosts. We highly recommend Ben Brae.

We had a delightful time with Dave and Lynda. They knew so much about the area and directed us to all of the spots we wanted to see. Breakfast each morning was wonderful: homemade goodies along with great conversation. We also had the small room downstairs but found it cozy and charming. We would highly recommend staying here!

The family get-together for the weekend was fantastic except for the room at Ben Brae. We ended up in the small room on the lower lever. This room is approximately 8' x 8', smaller than a walk-in closet. It must have been a small study when the house was originally built. The bed fills the entire room and leaves little... More

Management response:

Our unhappy, claustrophobic guest arrived early. She viewed the house and room she had requested and seemed fine with her choice. It was not until the following morning that we heard she wanted a larger room and shower ( the shower is a standard sized shower ) . We immediately tried to accommodate her request but she wanted to move... More

Dave and Lynda were wonderful, attentive hosts who made us feel like old friends come to visit. Their home is beautiful, and even though our beautifully-appointed room on the main floor was small, we had full access to the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The backyard was a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the beauty and serenity of... More
