This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to many sights and museums. However, now during Covid restrictions, there was no cafe or restaurants open within the hotel. As well, most eating places closed by 6pm or 7pm, and we were forced to use uber eats to order fast food, which was not what we wanted at all. Byward market is open with plenty of small eating places, but again closes by 5pm. Not sure if these are regular hours during normal times.

Hotel check-in was efficient and quickly completed. We were given rooms on the 18th floor. Rooms were regular size, we had 2 double beds, with electric kettle and iron/ironing board, TV, radio/clock.. We asked for a small microwave, and were given one. The fridge was extremely small (not even table height, and can hardly hold anything. Bathroom size in our room was very small, basics were provided like towels, body wash and shampoo. We could use the pool for only half an hour. Parking is not free, and you have to pay per day fee each time you drive out. We were given a rate of $10 per day for the weekend. You can either use your car to drive around and pay parking wherever you go, or park the car and take transit.

Hotel staff we encountered were very friendly and welcoming.

I stayed at the Delta Ottawa City Centre from February 9-11, 2020 for a business trip. Originally I had booked a Deluxe Queen room but when I arrived I was notified that I had been upgraded to a Club Level room at not extra cost. What a nice surprise!

The room was right next to the elevators on the 24th floor, and while I was worried I would hear all the noise from the traffic, I honestly didn’t hear a sound my whole stay. It was actually quite convenient having the elevator right outside my door as I could hop right into an elevator to the club lounge on the 25th. The room itself was exceptionally clean and the only qualm I might have is the small bathroom and low shower pressure. That being said, the bathroom itself was wonderfully clean so I really didn’t mind much.

The lounge was well stocked with beverages at all times and served a good Hot and cold breakfast selection and evening hors d’oeurves that could take the place of a whole meal. They served chicken spring rolls, soup, meat skewers, a cheese platter, smoked salmon, veggies and dip. Pop and juices were free and plentiful, as were coffee and tea.

The check-in and service staff In the lounge was always very friendly and made sure my needs were always met.

Location-wise, the hotel was near the Federal buildings and only about a 5 minute walk from my business meetings. Not much further from other attractions. The walk down the main road to see the Parliament buildings is a good one, as it passes many other historical buildings such as the Supreme Court and the Confederation building on the way.

Overall my stay at the Delta City Centre was excellent. Thankful for the free upgrade at no cost and my first chance to try out a club room with access to the lounge. Will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Ottawa.

We had stayed at the Marriott a few yrs ago and thought we would give a different Marriott property a try. Tbh we typically like to stay at luxury hotels/resorts as I personally find it makes or breaks the vacation, but no such property in Ottawa. I had already adjusted our expectations knowing this is a 4 star property.

The hotel seems to have gone through some extensive renovations recently. Everything looks nice and new from a distance (inside the hotel; outside still looks very old and aged).

The room was a reasonable enough size but the layout is quite awkward. In particularly, the bathroom is ultra small. If someone was sitting on the toilet, and another person opens the bathroom door, it will hit their legs for sure.

The water pressure is also very weak and fluctuates, with water temperature unstable as well, making taking showers very unpleasant.

Our room was close to (next to) the elevator, thus very noisy with all the mechanical noise. The hotel was for sure not full, and they knew we came as a family so not sure why they wouldn’t consider the sleep quality of young kids (or any guest for that matter) taken into account when assigning rooms. We were also placed on the ice machine floor and you could hear the machine making ice even when it’s not in used. All of this makes the quality of sleep not great.

We still traveled during active COVID environment, so a lot of the precautions were still applicable – mask wearing, social distancing etc. No one reminded guests the rules, nevermind enforcing.

The pool was a big draw for why we chose this property. However, it was extremely crowded (not the hotel’s fault) and they ran out of towels often. It was also not “warm” as advertised.

The one positive I would comment on was the gentleman from house keeping, who kept running supplies for us (bath amenities etc.) and very quick too, considering I haven’t seen any other staff on site. The hotel seems to be very short staffed.

The hotel has been renovated and is very nice. Enter the porte cochere from the south off the one way Albert St. During Covid 19 time the hotel's efforts were clear and plentiful. Check in was made easy and they accommodated my larger then 6 foot vehicle with parking in front of the building. The was large and very clean. Bathroom was a little cramped, but manageable for 1 person. The workspace had connections for video output as well as Cat 5. There is no restaurant open, and the Tim Hortons is closed on the weekend.

Stayed here for 6 days in May. Rooms are very small , windows do not open , no restaurants open on Sunday evening in the hotel. The restaurant that is open for breakfast is extremely expensive ...that is why no one is ever in it. The staff that work at this hotel are all excellent very friendly good service etc. check in on Sunday evening was painful one staff member working so 1/2 hour wait to check in. Fitness center is very good ,the sauna was locked up , pool was filled with screaming children so did not go in. Hotel was very clean. Bathroom in room was very small , shower was large and good , Usually stay at the Marriot Residence Inn downtown , but it is now an apartment building. Hotel does need renos as the rooms are very old school in terms of technology connections etc , the set up was probably great in the 90's. No room service available , and maids did not leave coffee in room after the first day . I will probably not stay here again to many other better hotels nearby.

It was a last minute decision to go to Ottawa and we were so happy we decided to go. With our excellent check in by Megan who asked us what we needed for dinner, pool or anything else. It was a good deal with the free parking and a gas gift card. We appreciated the physical distance measures put in place, the extra hand sanitizer stations, the sanitization packs and the signage on the floors and walls. The hotel was quiet and the streets in Ottawa were eerily quiet. Thank you for a good escape and visit to the capital.

Good experience overall, quiet, great location, 10 minute walk to Parliament Hill, lots of restaurants nearby. Underground parking isn't cheap but it is downtown Ottawa. Nice restaurant on site. Would not stay in a room ending in 7 or 15 as they are on either side of the elevators, could hear them all night when they went up or down. Ceiling of the bathroom above the tub was flaking, sign of becoming a bit worn down and needing a spruce up.

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Delta for Valentines Day weekend. It is a bit of a walk from the main hub of activities like the Rideau Canal and Byward market, but it worked well for us. Check in was busy but efficient, and with the Delta being one of the official Winterlude hotels, there was a special coffee and got chocolate station. Our room was a corner room and as read, it’s a bit smaller than the others, but enough for us. As well, the bedding was immaculate and comfortable. There are sufficient pool and gym facilities, offering towels, complimentary headphones, and apples was a nice touch. Unfortunately on our last day we were woken up be noises coming from the pipes, but the reception was very apologetic and was prompt in sending someone up to assess the issue - moreover offered us complimentary breakfast for the trouble. Breakfast normally at cost was delicious with a variety of excellent options, including smoothie shots, chia puddings, and good quality breakfast proteins. Parking is underground and a bit costly on weekdays (flat rate on weekends). However all things considered - Highly recommended for a comfortable stay.

The hotel was nice enough, service on check in was efficient and friendly. Everyone was helpful and accommodating. I prefer being closer to the Byward Market, but it was good, I would stay there again. My major complaint was the breakfast buffet. My package included breakfast. When we arrived at the buffet room, there was a huge line up. Not unexpected, it was 9:30 Sunday morning. There wasn't a line because there were no tables. There were in fact 11 empty tables. The problem was no one was clearing the tables. Sorry, there was a woman "clearing" tables but I use that term loosely. She would meander to one table, move a thing or two around, wander to another and wipe a small spot on the table then wander off to the back. I'm not exaggerating. In 30 minutes she didn't completely clear one table. During breakfast, the line remained and I still didn't see her clean an entire table. The manager was clearing tables, shooting looks of disbelief at this woman. He did his best but I'm not sure why he didn't deal with her appropriately. Someone came up from the front desk, clearly to check out the ridiculous situation. I get that there are HR issues that might have come into play, but if you have someone who can't do the job working on a busy Sunday morning, clearly you need to staff appropriately, right?!

Long story short, the hotel was fine, but DO NOT take the breakfast package. That situation was nothing short of disrespectful to guests.

My boyfriend and I booked a room here so we would not have to drive home after my work Christmas Party, ( we live just outside of ottawa and were being responsible) unfortunately my party was cancelled and since I had booked the room at a reduced rate so I was un able to cancel so we decided to have a little get away.
We arrived and our room was ready. The bed was super comfy. We had dinner right next door at Baton Rouge which was great becuse it was a 1 min walk.

This was not our first visit to this hotel. We stayed her for a night a couple of summers ago to attend a bluesfest concert with friends. It was about an 8 min walk from the War musem so it was great.

Our room was clean, there was a little coffe maker in the room which I used. a little fridge but we did not need to use it as we were only there for one night. Checking in and out was easy. Covid protocols in place, wearing a mask in public areas, limit to how many people in elevator, hand santizing stations throught hotel.
We did not access the pool area or gym as we only had a short visit but I heard both were great

All in all a great night. I would recommend this hotel toanyone.
