My friend and I went to ottawa to visit some friends and thought this would be a good place to stay because of its cheap price and location, What a mistake! Where do i even begin.. Motel next to a shelter, there were ants in the bathroom and the bed sheets were dirty. The guy at the front desk didnt even...

We stayed at this hotel for four nights on our first ever visit to Ottawa. We didn't rent a car, but had no trouble getting to and from our chosen destinations. It was a short walk from Parliament, Rideau Centre Mall, National Gallery, etc... The hotel wasn't on the most attractive of blocks, but a 2 or 3 minute walk...

Looks sketchy on the outside, rooms are reasonable. Got a deal on a discount website, so the price was good, but I certainly wouldn't pay more than the $70 a night I paid. They were also unwilling to rectify an issue - we had asked for a double room, and got one double bed for three of us - based...

Checked in after driving in from Montreal. As soon as we got into the parking lot, my wife tells me she has a bad feeling. The lot was filled with trash. Checking in went well. The front desk attendand was nice and showed us how to get to the local attractions. As soon as we stepped into the room things...

We traveled with our adult children and when we arrived, my son was worried about the neighborhood. Then when we opened the door to the motel he wanted to forego the money we had paid in advance ($100) and go somewhere else! We showed him that the room was clean, we wouldn't shower in the crummy little bathroom and the...

We were only staying one night, wouldn't have wanted to stay in this type of place for much longer. Just needed somewhere to sleep. The room was clean and had the required facilities. Could do with a bit of a make over, was a bit tired and dark. The bathroom was ok, mildew on the shower curtain and the rolled...

This is basically a motel, located in somewhat convenient location in Ottawa. We walked to downtown, ByWard market. There are a few grocery stores nearby (Loblaws, Metro). We paid $80 plus tax for one double bed room. The breakfast was probably the worst breakfast I ever had (Danishes, cereal, toasts, canned fruit salad). We stayed for two nights. The coffee,...

Sleeping in Downtown Ottawa for less than 100$ a night was great ! We walked from Parliament Hill to our hotel in like 15 minutes. No need to take the bus or the car. The room was simple (we wanted something cheap, so it was ok for us) and clean. We were on the Rideau Street side of the hotel,...

The Econolodge on Rideau in Ottawa is pretty dingy. Bathtub non slip mat was mildewed, and bathtub(maybe shower curtain) smelled a bit like old boots. The area is a bit sketchy along this part of Rideau--a number of men's hostels are along it, I wouldn't walk along it as a female alone. Staff in the office are friendly and your...

3 out of Out of 5 lights in the room are working and 2 are out of order causing not adequate light in the room. Wireless internet quality in poor like other hotels. Front desk and tech-support teams are helpless. Otherwise hotel is woth for this money. Staff is friendly.
