If you think a Hyatt or Four Seasons resort is your idea of vacation, stay home and leave the cabin rental open for me and mine. If you want to stay on a beautiful lake, great fishing, and a great host, this can't be beat. We're in our 20th year at the resort. That alone should say something. I haven't...

The owner, Paul, is so accommodating he comes across more as a host than an owner. Cabins were very comfortable and staff quickly assisted you with any need. They have remodeled and updated cabins recently. Strongly recommend the meal plan...incredible. This might be enough reason for my return. Walleyes and small mouths were caught by the dozens each morning and...

Rates a 10 out of 10! Our cabin was comfortable, clean and modern with a complete bathroom with a HOT water shower. Very welcome after a long day of fishing frenzy catching and releasing an amazing number of exceptional walleye and smallmouth bass. Fully equipped with linens, towels, soap, etc that you would expect from a class hotel, not a...

Our organization utilized the Dog Lake Resort to host our yearly provincial meeting in the last week of September 2015. The meeting took place over 4 days and included 24 attendees from across Ontario. We initially chose the Dog Lake Resort to host our meeting due to the overwhelming amount of positive reviews online. Those reviews turned out to be...

We decided to come here for our yearly family fishing trip. Im glad we did. Prebooked the food package and it is 5 star all the way! Food was spectacular. Same as any fine dining restaurant in Toronto. The cabins were spacious with full kitchen amenities and very clean. Boats are equipped with 115 hp motors for easy travel with...

Very nice getaway less than an hour from Thunder Bay. Stayed Canada day weekend and the resort put on a fireworks show that lasted about 15-20 minutes, 5 minutes longer than that of City of Thunder Bay's Canada day display. Owner of resort was more than accommodating, we asked for a dvd to watch and he gave us Bell expressvue....

My son Tim and I found Dog Lake Resort on the internet. We were in Duluth Minnesota. There must be about a million Canadian fishing resorts, and we didn't know what to expect. Dog Lake Resort turned out to be a really excellent choice. We spent three nights and rented a boat for two days. The cabin wasn't fancy, but...

We stayed in a cabin for five days with our dog. Paul, the owner, is friendly, accommodating, and helpful. HIs staff, Cathy and Mark, are the same. The cabin has everything single thing you could think of needing. Paul;s challenge to me was to search for something that I needed in the kitchen that was not there, and I came...
