The Ivy at Verity is a very special place. A beautiful, very clean, comfortable and peaceful room and a pleasure to go back to at the end of a busy day sightseeing. The whole nature of the hotel allows you to feel extremely relaxed and at ease and everything is done so as not to bother you yet you feel...

We stayed at the verity over valentine's weekend. Still remembered as our gold standard for a boutique hotel experience years later. The rooms look/smell absolutely divine and every comfort/indulgence you could want is already there for you. The hotel is a short walk from the very core of downtown Toronto - we look forward to coming back!

As an Exec. Housekeeper, Room Division Director and Interior Designer, I can attest that there was not a speck of dust or stains to be found in the room. The furnishings, fabrics & amenities are high end. The XL bathroom was exquisite and the staff were exceptional. There is no minibar but there is an Honor Bar with free espresso...

We stayed here for our wedding and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. The staff was so accommodating from helping us unload our car to arranging early check in to anything else you might need hotel assistance with. The room and hotel are gorgeous, with lovely art pieces, lots of public space and great amenities for getting wedding...

This hotel and associated restaurant is attached to an elegant spa in the downtown neighbourhood of Toronto. The rooms are bijoux and the ladies who exercise and have treatments here have the treat of an exceptional restaurant to enjoy! Do not miss dessert - the warm fritters are divine!

I often say at the Ivy for work or pleasure when visiting Toronto. The service is prompt, polite, and the setting elegant. Every comfort is considered, and I leave feeling refreshed. Highly recommend.

Definitely not your usual hotel. Looking for a home away your home.....This is the place where to go when you are in Toronto. Even if not located in some fancy neighborhoods, this place is a gem. At first a "Women's club" , the Ivy offers some rooms now... Mine was .. Yes ... awesome. A large room with a large...

I've stayed around town in many of the nicer hotels and I just found my new favorite - to me certainly better than the fancy ones in Yorkville - there are four total rooms. The bathrooms are very large and have excellent soaking tub and large shower. Heated floors etc Kind of hard to find the entrance. At least I...

This boutique hotel is exactly that. Small, but beautifully put together. Staff were all fantastic. Rooms perfect. Best bathrooms we've found in Canada, and when the weather allows a lovely veranda to sit on. Attached is a ladies health club and spa, and if I lived in Toronto I would join. Can you start one in England - preferably near...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
