Great hotel right in the heart of the downtown next to union station. Old Victorian charm yet modern and newly updated. Used the gym twice and was very clean and modern with all the latest machines. Best hotel for the price I paid.
We went to Toronto to take in a Jays game. We booked with Fairmont for one night. From the moment we left the car with the valet to leaving for home after an amazing breakfast at Epic my experience was amazing thanks to Joy. Joy...More

We came for two nights looking for a nice hotel and a good location. Our pets were welcomed and the room was lovely .The service was great. The only very minor drawback was that the hotel is large, so it takes a while to get...More

Stayed here for business. It’s a large hotel that caters to business people and tourists alike. The lobby is always busy with a high level of noise. Rooms are nice and everyone is very helpful and professional. There are different arrangements of chairs in the...More
Great central location downtown across from Union Station and a quick walk to the convention center.
Rooms were immaculate- clean recently renovated in classic style.
Always friendly and courteous front desk staff.
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe
Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.

The destination marketing fee is now history. As of April 1/2018, the city of Toronto has implemented a new 4% municipal accommodation tax applicable to hotels. Being a tax, hotels are obliged to charge it.

We loved Pizzeria Libretto just up University a few blocks. One day just for convenience we went to Jack Astor’s across the street which was fine. We also enjoy e11even in front of the Air Canada Center and also in that complex is Real Sports if you like pub food.
The Loose Moose and Badali are just down the street last Jack Astor’s. We didn’t try them but they have good review. Good luck!
