Lovely reception staff and welcoming reception area. We were given a king room looking out into the Rogers Centre. Initially thought this would be excellent but as the stay went on it wasn't the best. Room itself was excellent, massive comfy bed, clean tidy and every thing you need. Bathroom also huge and clean (not the best shower in the...

Stayed here for business. It is in a great location to Front street with handy walkways. Even when the Blue Jays were in town, my room was quiet. The concierge was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was large and well presented.

Enjoyed out short, one-night stay. Paul at the front desk was very helpful. Room was large and clean. Nice view from the lobby bar into the stadium. Located next to the CN Tower which makes it easy to navigate back to the hotel when out walking which is great because the hotel is within walking distance to many attractions and...

Right in the middle of downtown, and the hotel is connected to the Blue Jays stadium. Our window view was the inside of the Blue Jays Stadium, we could watch the baseball game from the window (no outside view, direct view inside stadium) Room was very clean and spacious. I would absolutely book the hotel again!

We stay at this hotel every year while in town to watch the Blue Jays. The staff seem to be hit and miss. Some are friendly and helpful while others are flat out rude. On this particular visit, we asked a gentleman at the front desk for a suggestion on a good pizza place in the area. His answer- "I...

Average treatment from an average place. Half the elevators were broken (not that big of a deal, things happen). The room was dated but at least clean. I went to put the air on at night and as soon as I switched the thermostat, the fan was squealing nonstop on high, medium and low so I just shut it off....

Dear Adam G, Thank you for your feedback. It only helps us in our efforts to improve the hotel. We have one out of four of our guest elevators out of service at the moment. It is the last in our elevator refurbishment project and should be completed soon. We apologize for any delays you may have experienced and appreciate...

We like to tour around the country and see all the MLB stadiums. We usually see 3 or so stadiums per season. We reserved 2 nights for our stay in Toronto to see the Atlanta Braves play the Blue Jays. The first night we reserved was with a stadium view and the second night was with a city view. We...

Last night after work I stopped in for a couple beers and some dinner. I was greeted by friendly staff. Craig and Whitney were very attentive and knowledgeable about everything going on in and around the hotel. The food was great, and the choice of draft beers was better than most hotel bars I've been to before. Will definitely return.

We asked for an upgrade at the Renaissance as we were there to celebrate a birthday. They obliged quite willingly. The room was huge with king bed, couch, chair and a bathroom down a hallway within the room. Room was basically quiet except for the mornings where I believe we were under a maintenance or storage room. Service was good...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
