This was only the second time I've stayed at an Intercontinental Hotel, the first being in November while in Montreal. Location in downtown Toronto was excellent-close enough to walk to many attractions. We were up for the World Junior Hockey Tournament & even with players staying there, was quiet and very clean!!!

Another successful short escape to a great InterContinental property. I had booked a suite for my partner and myself and decided to treat a couple of friends too, so I used my points to book them a room. My secretary advised the hotel that we would be arriving early, and if possible at all, to apply our upgrade to my...

Rented this room through Hotwire.com and received a very good rate. The location is right at the bottom of downtown Toronto and is very close to the convention centre, Rogers centre, and walking distance to the ACC, Hockey Hall of Fame etc. The lobby and entrance makes you feel like you are in a 5 star hotel. The front desk...

This was our second visit to IHG Toronto! We come to Toronto a lot but mostly stay further up downtown. We were here for NYE and the club scene was very vibrant. They did have some trouble containing the non hotel guests in the main lobby and as we had a lot of kids in our party we went to...

Booked via IHG for 115$ Govt Rate. Arrived in the evening and was dazzled by lobby, very modern and pleasing. Checked in at Ambassador desk, and was provided a room upgrade, facing lake (partially) on 19th floor. What a view of the CN tower at night! The room was quite big, with an angled window, Cleopatra sofa, super comfie king...

Stayed here in december for 6 nights. We took a taxi from the airport as we arrived from London at 9pm. The trip took about 18-20 minutes and we paid around 70 dollars including tip. To the airport on the return, we took the metro from Union station and paid 3 dollars, very easy and it took about 1 hour....

I stayed here for one night in early December. The location is great but I honestly felt the hotel is starting to show its' age. I had a good size room with an actual desk which is nice for work. I had a city view that looked north east and east through downtown. I couple of pet peeves, the lobby...

Firstly, I have to say that this is definitely not what we'd expect from a four diamond hotel in terms of the actual hotel product. We are currently staying in the InterContinental for a couple's getaway. I have to say, the staff are definitely outstanding. We had a quick and courteous check-in although I was surprised to hear that half...

Stayed here for three nights in early December while at a trade show at the connected Metro Convention Centre. It's very clean, the staff is very friendly and the fact it's connected to the Conention Centre is great. There are a multitude of resaurants in the area but if you go to the Azure Bar in the hotel be prepared...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
