I needed a last minute hotel in downtown Toronto. I was able to book this hotel a few hours before showing up. The front desk staff was friendly. The location was perfect for getting to Union Station quickly and I would be willing to stay here again even though it was nothing fancy. A couple of minor annoyances: there was...

Stayed 3 nights at CAD 74 a night. CAD 54 from airport in taxi although metro if open much cheaper. Reasonable location close to metro. 24 hour reception for late check in. Cafe downstairs. Major shopping centre and food court a 3 minute walk away. Basic but comfortable room. 2 comfortable Single beds. Wifi was perfect. All staff efficient and...

Great hotel close to the mall, shops, restaurants, etc. I got an amazing deal on this place as part of their boxing day sale. It was far cheaper than any other hotel I saw in Toronto and much nicer room than a lot of others. Great location right in Yonge-Dundas Square and only a 1 minute walk to the nearest...

Very good location right in Dundas square. Room was above average for an excellent price. Linens clean. Bathroom pristine. Close to tons of restaurants, theatres, clubs, movies and culture hotspots. Would stay here again for sure!

Bonds Place is a great place, close to Dundas Square and Yonge street. The service of the hotel is great, with a very friendly staff. We stayed in the 4-person room, which was very great and easy to walk through. It is also a great-value hotel, only thing is that internet is not free.

The room size is small but good enough.Very clean and cozy. Strategically located by Eaton Center, just like TIme Square @NY. There is a closed-by restaurant The Senator - 1940s-style diner with jazz-inspired decor, offering breakfast & classic comfort-food dishes. Check it out! The only setback is wifi is not free.

The hotel's in a good spot (meaning, easy to get to from the subway and Billy Bishop Airport) but note Yonge-Dundas Square gets really busy and packed with people. We arrived in the middle of a workday so it wasn't bad. As for the rooms -- they are clean and comfortable. My major complaint is that there's only a door...

We visited Toronto for New Year, and booked Bond Place through Lastminute.com which included the flights. For us, Bond Place was situated ideally for everything we wanted to do, and as we like walking everything was easily accessible. The room was small, but this didn't bother us. It was clean and cleaned everyday, with clean towels if you wanted them,...

Great location in downtown Toronto. Smallish rooms that are a little pricey for what you get. Friendly staff. Not recommended for drivers as parking is limited and expensive; however, Toronto has great public transport as well as easy taxis.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
