This has been our choice of hotel for many years. The staff is excellent, and anything requested is attended to immediately. The suites are impeccably clean and recently updated. On our last couple of visits, we were glad to see that a 'no party' policy had been posted since there was a brief period of time when we saw the atmosphere...

Cambridge Suites is a fantastic hotel, in a great location in downtown Toronto. Our suite was very large and it was divided into 3 rooms. The living room included a table, chairs, a pull-out sofa and a kitchen area. The bedroom had a lovely king sized bed and the bathroom was spacious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We...

From check-in to check-out everything was smooth and comfortable. The staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. The room was large and comfortable. It is a suite with a separate sitting room. The hotel has a quiet policy--no parties or unregistered visitors in the evening. Internet was included; only parking and minibar were extras. The location is central to...

Second time this year we've stayed at the Cambridge Suites in Richmond St this year. First time was with our teenager daughter and this time just my husband me. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and the location in the heart of downtown can't be beat. We really like having a living room separate from...

Quick check-in. Cozy bedroom and clean washrooms. Well maintained. Located close to King St, and PATH access available right across the entrance. The laundry comes in handy, considering the length of time one stays.

Stayed here for a week. My biggest complaint was the construction work going on but that wasn't their fault. Apparently construction goes on 24/7 in Toronto so the next block over was annoying. Room was not huge but perfectly good for my needs. Breakfast option needs to be ticked otherwise it's a rip off for the buffet. I recommend sunset...

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We greatly appreciate it! We share your frustration with the construction, but thankfully it has cleared up nicely in front of the hotel. I am sorry to hear of your disappointment with the breakfast. I will be sure to pass on your feedback to higher management. On the other hand,...

I picked this hotel for its location. For our visit we wanted to go to the Eaton Centre, St. Lawrence market and the Ed Mirvish theatre. All were within easy walking distance. The staff was very polite and nice. Lots of underground parking ($27 a day extra). The room was tidy and clean. Our suite was separated into three different...

Booked two nights here for a last minute visit to Toronto. My wife looked at lots of reviews for this place but the overall experience was somewhere in between the extremes. Here are a few things worth mentioning: The location: Very centrally located downtown. We were able to walk to many of the most common attractions (though we also don't...

My family and I stayed in the Cambridge Suites. We'd gone to Toronto for Carabana Festival. The Concierge was very helpful in assisting us to move around the city. The suite included an enclosed bedroom area, and sofabed for the children. It was located near commuter rail station.

My husband and I just got back from our weekend stay at the Cambridge Suites in Toronto. The room was spacious, very clean, and tastefully decorated/ furnished. I really liked the layout of the suite. So much nicer than one space with a bathroom. The suite had a bedroom, a living/dining combination, a room with the sink, mirror, and closet...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
