I highly recommend this hotel! The history is charming and elegant but the facilities and service are modern and efficient. I wish I could score an 11/10! The meeting rooms and services are first rate. This was one of the best all-company meetings ever!

The updated King Edward is an elegant, comfortable and swell option for anyone visiting Toronto. The rooms are welcoming and well appointed. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever had the chance to sleep on in a hotel. The staff is extraordinarily pleasant and professional - it's a group of real pros. A small quibble. We had...

Stayed here on business while the hotel was undergoing renovations. Thankfully the noise was minimal during the early mornings and late evenings when I was in my room. It's a truly massive hotel with conference rooms and ballrooms, etc. which are good for meetings. Rooms themselves are also large. I stayed in a deluxe room (I think?) and there was...

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend as part of a wedding and are glad to recommend it to others. The recent renovations covered every detail so the hotel felt new and modern with reminders of its history throughout.

Great hotel in a wonderful location. Staff is extremely attentive and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The Consort bar offers a wonderful dinner. We also received a great recommendation for dinner from the concierge! We have stayed here two times and will stay here again!

This hotel is in a perfect location and offers a beautiful room to stay in. The restaurant on site offers a good menu choice. The staff is nice and helpful. I would stay in this hotel again. The parking options around offer several public parking garages from 25-35CAD a day.

Very nice accommodations. Within walking distance or mass transit to Chinatown, markets, entertainment, sports and all of downtown Toronto. We attended a Maple Leafs game which was an easy walk from the hotel. Several nice restaurants nearby as well.

The service from the time we pulled up until we left was unparalleled. Rooms were clean and updated. Very pretty. Came with a fridge. Room service was wonderful. We had many helpful suggestions about where to go in the city. All requests were address quickly. Conveniently located! Would recommend highly. Loved the bathrobes.

We stayed at the Omni during our weekend away to Toronto, the hotel was beautiful. The room was very clean, the heater was a bit loud at times. The room was recently updated and was beautiful. We stayed on the Club Level, the staff there was amazing, there was a variety of food. We visited the concierge desk several times,...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
