We stayed here one night when we came into the city to see a show. The Lobby was undergoing what seemed like pretty extensive renovations which made me aprehenisve when I first checked in. We had a room on the top floor though and it looked like it was recently renovated. Large bright and clean. Good option if you are...

Decent location. Within walking distance to Union Station and Hall of Fame. I read the reviews before we stayed here and figured all the construction reviews were from uppity guests. Wrong. The room we stayed in was fine. They had new furniture, pretty standard looking hotel room. Everything outside of your room is pitiful. I've stayed at places under construction...

Arrived to a construction site, luckily our room was 11th floor and was already renovated. Could not fault the room except for a dodgy phone that kept ringing, we eventually unplugged it. Three good sized lifts that were quick . Let down by breakfast, plastic cutlery and paper plates, no hot food which was blamed on renovations but surely some...

This will be a long review. We booked online through the hotel's website. There was no note about construction, I only found out about the construction/renovations after booking when I came to TripAdvisor to check the reviews. My partner is in a wheelchair and cannot walk. I booked a wheelchair accessible room directly on the website. My confirmation e-mail said...

Stayed overnight for a trade show. Hotel was clearly in a state of construction. Our room was new, clean and spacious, but noisy in the afternoon and fairly early in the morning due to contractors. If we stay again we would request a higher floor to minimize street noise which was considerable.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
