The aesthetic of Kimpton Saint George brings to mind Toronto’s heritage of craftsmanship and its evolving identity as a dynamic modern hub. Authentic flourishes, like custom art and furniture pieces from local artists and artisans, illustrate the distinctive identity (with a touch of irreverence) that makes Torontonians and travelers alike fall hard for the city. In each of our 188 guestrooms, including 20 suites and one Presidential Suite, we’ve created a haven for our guests meant to evoke the neighbourhood’s heritage residences. Clever touches, like carefully layered collected sculptural furnishings, complement a soothing palette of moody blues, greens and grays juxtaposed with warmer tones. It all comes together to create a visual narrative that immerses guests in elements of true Toronto.

Neighbourhood
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.

Received a warm welcome on arrival. Staff very friendly & helpful. We were given a suite which was a bedroom, bathroom, which had a bath & shower, & lounge with a kitchen area but no cooker or microwave. There was no coffee machine in the room and when we enquired about this we were told you have to request this. They also gave us a microwave which had to be requested if required. The room was kept extremely clean and replenished daily. Very spacious & comfortable accommodation. There was no swimming pool. There was a fitness room. There was no hotel restaurant but there was a bar attached to the hotel which served meals & drinks. We felt this was more a bar than a restaurant. Evening meals were not to our liking. Breakfast was good and there was quite a good choice. This was our first Kimpton stay.

This is my 3rd Kimpton stay this year, London, Amsterdam and now Toronto and I like all 3 for completely different reasons but all offer great service, great location and really great rooms. This was the start of a short business trip and my flight from San Francisco was late so I arrived at the hotel late night but no problem staff totally took care of me in fact I got a text from the Night Manager on my way up to my room after checking in just to make sure everything was smooth and working properly. I am in Toronto 4 times a year on business and this hotel is now my go to place to stay. Staff was great at every level, I had a car/driver pick me up for a trip out of town for work and the Front Desk let the driver wait for me and even brought him coffee while he waited for me to come down. It's the little things that prompt me to write about places and this hotel does all the little things without being asked or told it is just routine daily business. You really are treated like a guest, someone who is genuinely welcome here. Rooms, I had a Deluxe King and all around a prefect room for business. Squeaky clean with enough space to work and everything did work, truly fun. Did I mention it is modern and the cool factor is evident from opening the front door. The neighborhood is great, public transportation steps away and plenty of things to do in the area. Many great aspects to this hotel top of my list the staff, they treat you like family and are proud of the place they work that is clear from Front Desk to housekeeping, high on my list of great places to stay when I am in Toronto.

We’ve stayed at many Kimpton hotels over the last few years and once again this hotel delivered. Excellent room, great staff and the customary wine hour between 5 and 6 pm. The location is a good 30 minute walk to CN Tower area - that said, the underground train is just around the corner and it only takes about 6 stops. Not a huge amount of choice in restaurants in the very close vicinity - we ate in the hotel bar twice which was good value.

Nice hotel do not get a room on the back lane side or be prepared to get woken early by the noise. Bar in hotel is nice with a good lunch menu lots of close restaurants nearby and within walking distance of the Eaton Centre

Modern-cozy vibe; looks just like in the pictures ! The seamless fusion of vintage and contemporary vibes in the design of this hotel is what caught my attention. The web pictures didn't lie, it looks even better in real. The entire grounds, from the hallways to rooms, are a feast for the eyes. The rooms themselves felt cozy and the bed was very comfortable. There is a lively restaurant on the ground level that serves decent food in a great atmosphere (with lots of games for adults). I'm not too familiar with Toronto but locals told me that it was located in a pretty desirable neighborhood too. It took me about 10min in Uber to get from the hotel to the Eaton Centre area (city's heart).

Hi Phoenyx-Floyd, Thank you so much for the great review! It looks like we hit the nail on the head with your description of "vintage vs contemporary", and are happy to see that we exceeded your expectations from the images you had seen prior to arrival. Our location is definitely a key highlight of our property with us being so close to the many distinctive neighborhoods of Toronto, and we are so glad that you took advantage of that. Once again, we thank you for your review and look forward to welcoming you back soon!

I doubt this would be in keeping with the Kimpton brand image.
