My husband and I stayed at the Marriott on January 14/17. Check in and check out were a breeze. The staff was also super friendly. The hotel itself is stunning and very modern and found it to be in a great location. Close enough to TTC, all the shops along the Yorkville strip, coffee shops and there is a 24...

We closed the bar down with Roorie(s) our bar tender. He was faboulas and very helpful with diner options. It was 18 degrees out and we wanted something close by. The young valet attendant on duty January 7th around 6pm had a horrible attitude. I have done Valet service for 10 years and I would have never talked to a...

This was a gem of a find!! Not only does it live up to the comfort I've come to expect from Marriotts, this location has added perks. Not only is it located in the high end shopping district ( Louis Vuitton,Burberry, Coach.. to name a small few) But it has a Longos Grocery attached as well as a full Mall...

I spent the night with my Mom for her birthday. We arrived early at the hotel, about noon, and were delighted they were able to provide us with a room. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. We were given a room on the first floor, which I thought may be noisy and disappointing without a view. As it...

Good location for shopping or a trip to the ROM. The hotel is a little tired...could use an update. Staff was friendly but not especially helpful. Our stay included breakfast in the hotel restaurant which was definitely worthwhile. The room was spacious and the bed comfy. We would've spent more time exploring the area had it not been 11 degrees!

Dear Seawoman224: Thank you for commenting on your recent stay. We are certainly a great hub, especially when it is cold outside. We have just completed our lobby and restaurant renovations and are looking forward to beginning our guest rooms - although we have not finalized a date. Best Regards, Susan Anderson Director of Room Operations.

This hotel was in a perfect location to the ROM. A 10 minute walk up the street. A mall next door, anchored by the Hudson Bay Company, had a wonderful food court with something for everyone! We were able to walk to downtown Toronto to the Eaton Center and explore Young Street with small restaurants along the way as well....

My husband and I spent New Year's weekend at this hotel and it was perfect. The location is central to shopping, museums and restaurants. It's also located directly on top of a subway stop, although admittedly we walked most places. The staff we're incredibly friendly and knowledgeable of the area. We'd absolutely stay again if our travels take us back...

This hotel is newly renovated. I got an amazing deal as the Priceline "Express Deal".. Everything was nicely adequate. The location was great. I will say that we experienced average customer service and not the "amazing service" other Tripadvisor reviewers are complimenting. This was also our experience at Matisse. There is no pool at this hotel. We are used to...

The front desk staff were awesome and very friendly. They treated my parents like royalty and it was appreciated. The breakfast was excellent and Rashid was very friendly. The food was great. Location is perfect as it is right on the metro stop.

So, I reserved using TripAdvisor, and when I arrived, the clerk quoted a different price at a higher rate. Even after I provided the confirmation number, they couldn't justify the price I got from TripAdvisor. I had to dig through all my emails to show the committed price. Just be prepared if you reserve through TripAdvisor.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
