Grimy sums up this hotel and noisy. My work booked me in for 5 nights. I requested a quiet room and was booked into one opposite the old and vey noisy lifts that also was interconnecting. I asked to be moved and got a quieter room. However it was grimy and didn't feel clean. It is also located in a dodgy...

Stayed here for New Years Eve. Great location and beautiful hotel. Our room was spacious, modern and beautiful. There's a Starbucks in the lobby so that was a plus along with reasonable priced valet service. They made you wear wristbands when going in and out of the hotel in the late hours of the night .. which is different but...

This hotel is perfectly acceptable for a short stay. The staff are friendly and there's ample work space in the restaurant area. I would avoid longer stays (especially for business) as the room layouts are peculiar with the sink and toilet in separate parts of the room and the closet in random places. For business, I found my room layout...

Conveniently located on Yonge Street, close to many restaurants and the subway. Limited balconies but if available get one overlooking Yonge street. There are signs indicating no smoking. Rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. There are bar facilities and a restaurant on the ground floor. Valet parking is available

This trip was booked to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. I contacted the hotel prior to the trip as I was worried about the ongoing woks as stated in previous reviews. I was reassured that this wouldnt affect our stay.....and they were right. Check in was smooth, the staff were very helpful and polite. It is very well located to...

When I was traveling on business before I retired, my "go to" hotel on the road was a Marriott Courtyard whenever they were available. The Toronto Downtown Courtyard is a good example. It is a mid range hotel that has excellent service, great location and clean, comfortable rooms. Perfect for a one night stay.

My wife and I just finished up a 2 night stay at this property in frigid downtown Toronto. Location wise, you can't beat this property. It's right off Yonge St within walking distance of everything and anything you need. Some hotels fail to realize that a guest's impression starts right when they arrive at the property. We were waiting for...

If you've stayed at Courtyard Marriotts before, this one will present a recognizable experience, though it's in a building that was not designed as a Courtyard, so it won't have the same footprint you're used to. That's not really a problem though; there are no big problems with this hotel. Rooms are spacious. Hotel staff helpful. The valet parking quick...

The hotel was literally around the corner from where I was working. The service was fast and friendly. The room was a good size. Liked the shampoo and conditioner, though would have been nice if there was cream/lotion also. Otherwise I would have brought my own.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
