Straightforward and clean accomodations. The free coffee in the reception area was appreciated. Clean rooms. No restaurant. Well priced. Freindly reception staff. Good location across the river from Montreal. Easy drive to Montreal over nearby bridge, allows commute away from hustle and bustle of downtown Montreal.

I stayed at this hotel last weekend with three team mates as a part of a group booking. We arrived late and had an early morning ahead of us. Upon checking in we received our room key and proceeded to our room. However, when entering our room, there was someone already in that room. We were given the key to someone else's room. After returning to the front desk and receiving our appropriate room key, we were assured that we would be compensated for the incident. Upon checkout it was re-confirmed that our charges would be discounted. However it has been a week and my credit card has been charged the full amount. As a woman checking into a hotel, I expect that I am safe in my room, however after this incident, I didn't feel safe and barely got any sleep. Wondering if they would do the same thing, and give our key to someone else. When given the opportunity to fix the situation, they only offered false promises. 0/10 do not recommend.

I was staying with a group of students. We found bed bugs and hair in the beds. It was disgusting. We had to find our own hotel and found a clean Quality Inn 5 miles away in the middle of the night. The kids learned an important lesson. With 37 members of our travel group, we found better service at a budget hotel

Our student education tour company brought us to this hotel late on Saturday, March 19, 2022. By the time all 37 of us were checked into our 19 rooms, 18 of which were on the Fifth floor, it was after 10:00. When I walked into our room I was immediately overwhelmed with a smell of a very strong disinfectant. I looked at my roommate and told her that the smell was familiar and asked what she thought. I went into the hall to check another room and saw two girls from one of the rooms running down the hall with their suitcases. They informed each that they found bugs and hair in the sheets and that they were not staying in that room. Another set of girls sent me a text message with pictures of bugs in their sheets as well. Four chaperones started looking deeper into the situation, pulling the sheets off the beds and using flashlights to check the mattresses and we found several little white bugs crawling on the mattress as well as what looked like tiny worms. The carpets looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed and the walls and chairs had stains on them. We also found hair in every single set of sheets. We alerted our tour coordinator to the situation and told her we needed to change hotels. The desk clerk looked very guilty when we confronted her but didn’t seem to be looking too hard to find us other accommodations so we took it upon ourselves to find another hotel and got out of that filthy Sandman Montreal-Longueuil Hotel as quickly as possible. The one room in our group that was on an upper floor appeared to be newly renovated so perhaps the filth was just on the lower floors. Shame on the management who thought it was okay to put a group of students in a filthy, bug-infested section of the hotel. The smell of chemical that reminded us of lice shampoo and insecticide was proof that they knew the bugs were there.

We have stayed for long periods of time on multiple occasions in 2020 -2021 and could not believe the terrible service and experience we had this past visit. Having stayed for nearly 7 months at the hotel in 2021, I am a Diamond level Sandman points club member and we arrived January 29th, my birthday, and was not credited for it, as Diamond member, our breakfast is included, I had to argue for it because no one knew about the RSVP Prevleges even though listed in my file from prior visits. I came with a baby, and advised in the online reservation that we required a playpen, it took 2 FULL DAYS to get one because being all new staff, no one knew where they were. After a month there, we were changed rooms, knowing we were there after a fire indefinitely waiting for the insurance, after being overbooked without any notice the morning I was scheduled as usual to extend our stay, I was advised we were having to leave to accommodate a hockey tournament. I was not previously advised when I have been paying weekly for over a month at this point. The clerk repeatedly told me she did not know what to do or to tell me, so I demanded the manager, who was able to figure a way to keep us for 3 more days, but changed our room and floor rather than leave us there for the remaining /additional 3 days, then complained that it took too long for the housekeeping to clean the room and they could not rent the room for that night since we were only given the information and key for the next room at 1:30pm after having been there for more than a month, so the time to transfer everything with the groups arriving and monopolizing the elevators and buggies to bring our things from the 11th floor to the 3rd floor. Obviously a proper deep clean would be required, not that of just a night or weekend, we are a family of 4 and had been in the room for over a month, and given a couple of hours notice to pack and vacate the room, rather than a day or more notice.. Additionally, there were problems with the TV ,/ cable (during Olympic periods and Superbowl Sunday often glitches and freezing on the few channels that we could catch, and the "FREE WI-FI is unstable, my son used his entire mobile data plan for the month of February in the first few days of the month, the elevators were beyond ridiculously slow, the new staff were rude and uniformed and often just put telephone directly on hold without even answering and leaving me on hold for unacceptably long periods of time. And the night staff even gave my room key to people claiming to a client in ny room when I was registered as 1 adult and 2 children without my permission and didn't the staff did not know the person nor did she call to verify so the person could leave the parking lot!! The hotel was under renovations the 8th-10th and the 12th-15th floors (of 17) and would start around 6am directly above our room (on the 11th), waking my baby, and there were on multiple occasions loud children banging in the room next to ours and running in the halls and stairwells and playing in the elevators, we complained without any assistance. After this terrible month stay at the hotel, the manager had the audacity to call and tell me the day after we moved out to another hotel, that following the month stay and being changed room/floor to accommodate their other booking instead of giving the new clients arriving into a already cleaned and prepared room, that because they had to do a deep cleaning on the room following our move, that the room was not ready to accommodate the other reservation on time (I really do not understand their logic of giving the housekeeping staff additional work for nothing and inconvenience your long-term paying clients for a weekend hockey tournament) the manager called me to say that we would no longer be welcome because of the inconvenience "we" caused by them choosing to change our room after a month therefore having to do a deep clean, rather than giving an ALREADY PREPARED ROOM to the weekend arrivals rather than leave us where we were for an extra 3 days. I am disgusted by the treatment we have received this past visit and hope that I will travel and use my freebie points in another province because I will NEVER return to Sandman Montréal-Longueuil, even prior to the phone all from the manager, just the insult of being pushed out to accommodate a weekend trip when I have given more than $5000 for this past month alone, and the rude staff they have working there now, I had no intention of giving a pleasant review or even tossing the idea of returning in future.

We stayed for 3 nights, and our room was clean but in need of repair. Our wallpaper was peeling off the walls, the beds were soft and saggy. The sink and toilet were low and the tap dripped. They are doing reno construction around the hotel and it would have been nice to know this before we booked as there was banging noises above us. From the location of our room on the 6th floor, we could hear big transport trucks unloading and backing up outside the hotel from 11:00 pm to 4:00 am on our last night staying there. We were told by the nice, apologetic young man at the front desk to contact the GM. So far we have not been able to get a hold of him. We have made several phone attempts to no avail.

This stylish hotel was pet friendly, clean and comfortable. The friendly and helpful staff spoke English with us, as we did not speak French. There were several, affordable, take out restaurants near by, on the university campus which was great because eating in was not an option due to the pandemic. We enjoyed this property very much, even though we only stayed for one night. We would definitely stay here again!

Recently staged at the hotel for two nights. Upon arrival we note the hotel is very dated but the clerk at check in was super friendly. During our stay garbages we’re overflowing on the floor and no housekeeping in sight. The faucet in the bathroom ran none stop during our whole stay and the hair dryer didn’t work at all. The internet service is horrible so no work could be done at all during our stay. On our last day we went to go shower and there was no water in our room. When I called the front desk to let them know they weren’t surprised at all and said it happens from time to time and only certain rooms. After waiting an hour with no water, I called the front desk again. The clerk tells me they are working on it. When I explained we have to leave in the hour I got told “I am aware of people’s schedules and i’m on hydro Quebec’s schedule and I am not a plumber”. I have never been spoken to so rudely by hotel staff or anyone in the hospitality industry. I was polite and patient with her and she could not extend the same courtesy. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone!

The location of the hotel is great. It’s right off the highway and next the bus station. The food court in the bus station is convenient. The hotel itself is a bit outdated. The washroom can be more modern. Lots of counter space in the washroom. The tv is new and upgraded but no apps I.E. Netflix to watch shows/movies and the movie channels (Super Ecran) is a great option but in French. You are in Montreal so that should be expected. The lobby would be better suited if it was furnished with tables and a lounge area to “hang out” or rest, relax, read or surf on your phone. Overall, it’s decent and it gets the job done. The room has no thermostat to control the air/heat. It gets musty in there real fast so you have to keep the AC running.
