I enjoyed my very brief stay at this B&B. It is only 1 block away from the main entrance of the the train station and two blocks away from where the bus depot is if you are coming from the US. Took me only 7 minutes by foot to get there. Depending on how you feel about having breakfast with...

In many ways a bit of a misnomer.more upscale hostel than conventional B&B. Very friendly girls on reception and the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. A communal kitchen meant self catering possible although finding cooking pots and pans was a challenge.Breakfast was simple but adequate and we loved the jar of home made biscuits. We managed to...

Great location for people who are happy to walk around the city. Each bedroom is slightly different and despite the building being old, the rooms were modern and extremely comfortable and clean with great pillows. Parking in a public underground garage was well priced and less than a five minute walk from Le Chasseur. Good hot showers, and good wifi...

The hotel claims there is parking facilities close by for a daily rate of $12/day. This is just an enclosed area with no staff on the premises at the night. A proper car park is available much further away and costs $15.00/day. The WiFi is far too weak and most of the time, you can't get a connexion or the...

Homelike atmosphere, my room and bathroom were small, but sufficient for two days, very good breakfast, great staff, proximity to everything you might need. Public parking available ca 300 m far from the property for 12 CAD per day. Wifi for free, but signal not the best one and the place is not convenient for those with limited moveability (stairs).

Omelette in the morning as part of the free breakfast, Very comfortable bed in a room with high ceilings and ample storage space. Free cancellation, pay later, and cheap. My room was clean and modern. I stayed in the first floor with an ensuite bathroom, which was very modern. The location of this lovely B&B is superb; close to the main metro station, and in a walking distance to St. Catherine. The people were extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast were delicious and very generous. The omelettes, fresh...

We just returned from an enjoyable 3 night stay at Le Chasseur. The B&B is located in a 125 year old house that is a few steps away from Rue de la Maisonneuve and Rue St Denis. The place is charming and has a lot of character. We stayed in room #8, fairly small but clean. The room is located...

When we arrived the owner was completely drunk. All the way up the stairs he was singing songs about my name. We had asked for an extra bed on the phone (which he agreed to) and when we got there he had put a camp lit with no blankets. When we asked him that this was not what he had...

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
