Simple breakfasts (fruit, hard boiled egg, tea/coffee, orange juice, and choice of carb (toast, bagel, croissant, chocolate croissant), nothing homemade. The bed was soft, but not excessively so. The pillows were quite flat, but four were provided. Lots of minor annoyances & damages (shower leaked, peeling paint on some walls & ceilings, lights in the overhead fan did not work,...

We were provided with a large room with two queen sized beds and ample space around them. Bathroom was community ( down the hall) but had all the expected facilities. There was no air conditioning but a fan was provided. Breakfast was continental in style. We were provided with fresh fruit (orange and watermelon slices) attractively arranged, one perfectly cooked...

I booked this BandB for two nights on Thanksgiving weekend. I spent 20 minutes on the room booking a new, very expensive hotel last minute, because of filthy windows and a faulty light switch. Decor was ordinary and dater. I was charged for two nights after spending 20 min. there. Apparently, I should have voiced u distaste instead of worrying...

This location is really close to the Metro and plenty of places to eat within walking distance. We arrived on Thursday to check in and from the outside it looked a bit run down. Once inside we were greeted by Said, Owner of the B & B. He showed us to our room and where the bathroom is located. We...

Super close to the metro! Lots of wonderful places to eat and shop near by. Management is super nice and breakfast was really yummy! We stayed in the room with the double bed which was great because it was off to the back of the house and right beside the washroom. Very nice balcony patio. Never saw many of the...

My husband and our 8 year old son stayed here this past weekend. The good first: -Location. Having never been to Montreal, I couldn't have picked a better location with this b&b. it was central to everything, a stones throw from a metro stop and right in the thick of the action. Very trendy neighbourhood. - The price. We booked...

Good value. Owner/operator very friendly and eager to please his guests. Breakfast is served and good option of continental items. Rooms are mostly small and be sure to ask if yours has A/C if this is an issue for you. Location is very good and parking extra off site but only $10. per day. Use of full kitchen and small...

While the host is helpful and gracious, his property is sorely in need of improvements to bring it up to standard. There is no central a/c, so the hot, humid weather made it difficult to fall asleep and noise from the neighborhood made it difficult to stay asleep. There was no chair in my bedroom and there are no common...

    Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

    Neighbourhood Profile
    Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
