This is by far the best hotel in Montreal. This hotel should be the blue print for all other Ritz Hotels. I love everything about this hotel. I believe the review should be based upon two items staff and the hotel as a building. The staff in a word: perfect. All staff members take great pride in the hotel as...

I'm a Ritz Rewards Platinum Member and book a room well in advance of our stay using rewards points. We arrive and receive a triple upgrade (as I understand) since both room categories above are fully occupied. We receive the largest and most beautiful 2 room corner suite with a fireplace and all convenient modern amenities. The bathroom is huge...

Our every need was attended to. Great location! The concierge was very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Housekeeping even remembered that we like extra coffee in the morning, when I only mentioned it in passing.

Wonderful hotel stay for 4 days November 18-22. The room was lovely. The bed was very comfortable. There is an indoor pool on the top floor, and a well appointed gym in the basement near the spa. The front desk, concierge and doormen were very helpful and accommodating. We also enjoyed spa treatments and room service which were excellent. Great...

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights on a recent trip to Montreal. The location on Sherbrooke Street is great, with shops, museums, restaurants, McGill University and the Metro in easy walking distance. The staff were excellent, from the doorman to the front desk staff and the servers in the restaurant. Our room on the 4th floor was...

Stayed here for a wedding. The staff were friendly and the room was pretty nice. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are modern. Location is excellent. If that's all you need, then read no further. Just some small gripes: 1) They have electronic toilet seats. This is a step in the wrong direction. Too much whirring and flushing and...

We had a wonderful time in Montreal. We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton and it was our first time in this hotel. Everyone was terrific from the first person who greeted us until the last person to say goodbye. When we arrived, our bags were quickly removed from the car and we were greeted at the front desk with bottles of...

I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Montréal for three nights recently and had a very pleasant time. My seventh-floor room was very spacious and had a great view of rue Sherbrooke. The room hosted many amenities such as a walk-in closet, large bathroom with bathtub, double sinks, glass-enclosed shower and toilet (a Toto with many different options of heating, washing, drying,...

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
