Stayed with Dominic and Mario for 3 days as part of a business trip. I made the right choice. Wonderful welcome, beautiful and comfortable room with really high quality finishes and touches and the best breakfasts ever. A wonderful start to my trip (and far superior in every way to the subsequent chain hotels I had to stay in.)

This is simply the best B and B we have ever stayed in. Dominic and Mario could not be more welcoming or attentive and the whole stay was a pleasure from start to finish. The room was beautiful and well-equipped, and the location is perfect both to explore Montreal on foot and to use the Metro or bus. Breakfast every... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay with Mario and Dominic. They were two incredible and very welcoming hosts and made fantastic breakfasts! On a very rainy Montreal weekend, it felt nice to go back to our warm and cozy Room#6 with its big king-size bed. The small details also make Aubergell B&B very special, for example the Kiehl's... Dominic and Mario go above and beyond to make your stay feel like a vacation with best friends. They are tremendous hosts! Our room, the "Loft," was exquisite and super comfortable. The decor was worthy of Architectural Digest throughout their entire home! We slept extremely well our entire stay. Breakfasts were worth the price alone - delicious and gourmet. This... More

Aubergell is the best B&B experience my wife and I have had. It’s an example of why we prefer a B&B to a traditional hotel. Dominic and Mario could not be more pleasant and professional. Fluent in French and English they were patient with us when we attempted our limited French, then easily communicated in English when we needed it.... More

We stayed at Aubergell to celebrate a significant birthday in September. This was the 6th time we have stayed at here (I think) and every time it feels like we are at home. Dominic and Mario (and Gaïa) are superb hosts. We always stay in The Loft, which we love. I have told them it should be called a Bed... More

The hosts are very nice and the breakfast is excellent. They are so helpful with any questions you may have and friendly. The room was beautiful and very quiet. Dominic and Mario both make you feel as if your in your own home. You can walk to so many restaurants and if you need a recommendation they will send you... More

My husband and I traveled to Montreal for a short holiday. I went online to find a B&B at which to stay. I found the Aubergell Bed and Breakfast. It was an amazing place. Our room was spacious and immaculate. The breakfasts were simply outstanding. The owners helped us with all of our needs including parking, tourist information and recommendations.... More

Bottomline: the Aubergell is a true gem...we wouldn't stay any other place in Montreal, period. Our hosts, Dominic and Mario, were true gentlemen who made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. The rooms are lovely and come fully stocked. However, the thing that makes the Aubergell worth the experience is the breakfast! A different and beautifully... More

This was our first visit to Montreal, and I'm not really sure where I heard of Aubergell. When we arrived, Dominic was waiting for us, and spent a bit of time showing us our room, and all of the features. There was a mini fridge in the room with a coffee maker, wifi, and a large shower/tub. Every morning was... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
