This hotel is very good budget option in downtown Montreal. The rooms are basic and small but very clean. My room was a bit dark; it could have used another lamp. There is a cafe on the main floor that serves breakfast and lunch. Staff were professional and helpful. I would stay there again.

The hotel is a few minute walk away from the Bell Center and one block away from Saint Catherine Street. Lots of restaurants around the area, perfect if you just want to walk and not drive. The room was clean and very quiet.

Small but nice room, double bed, mini-fridge, private shower, TV with limited channels. Maid service. Quiet. Friendly desk staff. within 20 minute walk of place-des-arts and old montreal. Community kitchen and computer room. Free wi-fi.Tons of restaurants nearby. Nobody anywhere in the city knows the hotel exists so make sure you know the address of the YWCA on Rene Levesque...

The room is clean, the location is prefect. You just need to walk a few minute to get to the shopping mall. It is easy to find the hotel. There are a lot of restaurant nearby. The cafe downstairs is a good choice eating something

Let's start by saying, a private room with 2 beds, and private bathroom in the city centre for $100 + tax is a not a bad deal. The rooms are in the YWCA building, so not a real hotel per se, but you still have 24 hour reception, and the front doors are locked every night. No breakfast included, but...

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
