If you want to be in the middle of it all in Montreal and not break the bank, this hotel is great for that. Great shopping and nightlife in the area, and if you want to explore the rest of the city then you just hop on the metro which is so close. The rooms aren't spectacular or anything worth...

This place is a lot more like a normal, very small apartment rather than a hotel. There were some ink stains on the comforter, chipped spots in the sink, a little bit of mildew in hard to reach spots in the shower. But it was clean in general and was a decent place to sleep. I found the temperature to...

This is a good place to spend a night, but one of the smallest rooms I have ever seen. The price is right, and right downtown, near Old Montreal/China town/St Catherine's,and the train station.

I'd previous visited Montreal a few years ago and stayed at the HI hostel during a few blocks from this YWCA hostel. I didn't enjoy that particular experience for various reasons (you can read that review) so wanted to try somewhere else that still offered good value for money. Based on reviews on this site, I chose the YWCA for...

Especially if you are ok with bicycles, there are bixi station just behind the hotel. The staffs are very friendly. Share bathrooms are clean and well...

I would like to comment on this idiot about bed bugs, he has to consider that maybe he is the one that brought them with him in his bags, clothings....people think before writing bad comments, and people think when reading them, because some people just want to stay for free. This guy had also been refunded, THINK, if the hotel...

First, I want to say that I wish I spent more time writing good reviews of places with the hope that this review will be taken seriously. I will do this in the future!!! I chose this place based on price but most importantly on the numerous quality reviews on this site and others. We arrived and was pleasantly greeted...

I stayed here with my husband in December when we went to UFC 124 @ the Bell Centre. It is so close to everything! It is on a corner right across from the Bell centre, less than a 1 min walk! The largest underground shopping is just blocks away and streets are full of great little shops close by. Tones...

Excellent location, close to all major conference venues/hotels in downtown area. a block behind the hotel is Montreal's major shopping district (St. catherine). Cross the road from the hotel, there is a office complex (IBM,etc.) where you can buy all sorts of food/snacks at reasonable price. But most importantly, the hotel is very clean, and quiet, and can't fault on...

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
