We were in town in July for a conference and ended up loving this hotel for its perfect location. We could walk to the conference center underground so that the days that it rained we were perfectly dry and not lugging around rain gear. But was even better was that we were right a the main stage area for a...

This hotel is located right on the corner facing the main stage of the Montreal Jazz Fest. In 2014 the adjacent stage was along the street between the hotel and the modern art museum, so it was great venue for mobilizing between artists and taking breaks in the room or lobby (free orange slice water, woo). The lobby is located...

It's location is awkward in that it is buried in another building. If walking it is more of a pain that it should be to get in. Once out of the building, the location is good though for shopping and eating options. The fitness area is decent. Inside it is nice but the service was awful in the lounge area...

Stayed during Ocheaga festival although I wasn't attending. Long line for check in but Audrey on reception very apologetic. Room was great. Didn't hear any noise which other people have commented on. Pool and surrounding area are a great bonus during the summer months. Didn't have breakfast or sample the restaurant. At check out Claude was also very helpful. Ideal...

I stayed in this hotel in September 2013. Nice location, close to several shopping centre, parks and the convention centre. Large clean rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was not included and rather expensive. Altogether a nice hotel for business purposes.

Have stayed here many times in the past, the location is right in the heart of the Jazz Festival and convenient to the Old part of town as well as the underground shopping and the subway system. Nice hotel, first class, staff friendly, rooms quit and comfortable. Toilets are all small in Montreal though for some reason. Nice view of the Arts district. Near metro. Nice bar and pool. I would recommend this hotel. Nice part of town. The 747 airport bus is one block away.

I have no real complaints, stayed at the hotel for 12 days, so I got a good look at it. The pool is nice in the warmer days, and the staff is nice and proffesional. You might hear some noise from the streets just outside the hotel, during my stay there were a festival in the area.

My review may be slightly biased as I stay at the Ritz Carlton when it's available, but I booked last minute and Everything was booked solid. Excellent location, even better than the Ritz. Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
