This is a quaint boutique hotel in the heart of old Montreal. To be sure this is not a large chain and therefore avoids large crowds and impersonal service. Instead, what you get is engaging staff, warm and cozy rooms, attentive service and an amazing location. Room Absolutely warm and inviting. We had a pseudo-fireplace, that we could turn on... More

Only 9 guest rooms, the most attentive service from the moment you arrive to meal time, beautiful modernized-yet-charming rooms, in Old Montreal...what more could you want? Oh! An amazing onsite restaurant and the perfect location. That's Epik! If I'm ever in Montreal again, I'd absolutely return here and it would feel like "home".

This is a great boutique hotel. The rooms are charming, romantic and have lovely bathrooms. We had a fire in our room and a 'view' out the back to an alley. There is a good complimentary breakfast in the morning with latte/cappucino's. The location is great for walking around old town. I would stay here again the next time we... More

Needing a French-fix, my girlfriend and I stayed at the Epik Hotel in Old Montreal recently and we were transported to Paris - a City we both love. The Epik is a boutique hotel and our room overlooking St.Paul Ouest had an electric fireplace and fabulously comfortable beds. The staff, which is available 24 hours, were all extremely personable, knowledgable... More

Wonderful boutique hotel in the middle of old Montreal. The hotel is a short walk away from the Notre Dame basilica and Old Port. The nearest metro station is also a short walk away. Lots of good restaurants nearby as well. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the city and surrounding area. The breakfast that was served was delicious.... More

Thank you for your kind words and glad you enjoyed your room. With only 10 to choose from, upgrades are hard to come by but all of them are just as clean and cozy. See you soon! More

My son and I spent two nights at the Epik and couldn't have been more pleased. Our room was lovely, with two comfortable beds and a fairly large bathroom. It is a charming boutique hotel with lots of ambiance and a great location in the Vieux Port. Would absolutely stay here again.

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
