I stayed at the Intercontinental Montreal several limes this year and it was never great but last Friday they managed to outdo themselves. I arrived late in the evening from London and was hoping to go straight to bed. I was given a room directly next to elevator so I asked to have it changed as I know how noisy...

Lovely facade to hotel and staff can be very helpful. Given room on the floor directly above the refurb floor. Banging and drilling from 07:15 onwards. Requested room change and front desk came back to me within the hour. Second room only slightly noisy. At present, steer clear of the 10th floor!

This is a modern hotel so don't expect Old Montreal charm. If you are traveling on business the location is perfect, the staff helpful and the rooms in plated and drop pin quiet. You're right by the waterfront by a couple of blocks with bistros on every corner. Recommended.

We went there past weekend (Victoria day long weekend). When we did the reservation we said we need a crib so when we arrived there was no crib. We asked for one and they were all in use even though we wrote that on our reservations few days before we arrived. Around my baby's bedtime they found a crib from...

The stay started out very well. The bus boy noticed I was taking an unusually long time to get out of my cab. He suspected a problem, so he wrote down the license plate, just in case. There was. The cab driver was cheating me, to make a long story short. He seemed genuinely upset by this and assured me...

Centrally located hotel. Not the most friendly staff, especially breakfast staff. Average breakfast buffet offerings for an InterContinental Hotel. I have had much better breakfast offerings at other InterConti Hotels.

Staying in Quartier International

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier International
Designed to connect and beautify unused space, today the Quartier International is like a transversal piece of modern art. The distinctive design flair is most apparent at its focal point, the Palais des Congres, a convention centre and retail space with a multi-coloured glass exterior and an equally bold interior motif. Outdoors too, the Quartier is friendly towards public art exhibits along its stylish, plotted city squares, with extra-wide sidewalks meant to encourage long strolls and shaded benches available for absorbing the atmosphere. Fresh air and promenades characterise the area, from the foliage of Victoria Square to the fountain of Place Jean-Paul Riopelle, while the restaurants along Rue Saint-Antonie Ouest and Metro stops modeled in the Parisian style give off European glamour.
