Stayed here for two nights in June. Very much enjoyed our stay. Beautiful old building with restored brick walls. Comp breakfast was small and quite simple but seemed to vary daily and was very tasty. We were accidently there just before the start of a huge street festival right on St. Catherine's Street. There seemed to be people roaming around... More

My husband and I went to Montreal to watch the habs play...and this seemed like a good hotel to rent for the night since it was cheap and since we were just planning on just sleeping there anyways...Well you get what you pay for! The only rooms that were available ( which we weren't even notified of) was this cheap,... More

For the price and the location the hotel exceeds my expectation. It is near a Metro - St Laurent and near Old Montreal - i walked 10 mins. It is also near a mall - Desjardin. Since its near the subway - getting to other tourist attractions is a breeze. If ever i will be back will book this hotel... More

My boyfriend and I were visiting Montreal for the very first time. We saw this place and it had great reviews online and it was inexpensive so we decided to reserve a room considering we'd just need a place to crash for the night. It turns out, this place is better suited for prostitues and drug addicts as there were... More

Hello, I'm sorry that you were not satisfait with our hotel. I learn from my staff about your situation. I also checked the TV in your room and everything was ok. The reason that my staff refused to refund you is that it seem you liked the room on your check in, and you stayed in your room, you didn't... More

We stayed here for 1 night, in a suite room. The room we had had a very cold feel, the bed was really hard so much so I hardly slept at all! The overall appearance was like many Hostels, run down, patch up and make do, but City Centre for £70-75 not bad (i.e. That's Why 3 stars and not... More

So I knew this was a budget hotel when booking, however, we were a little scared coming up the stairs into this place. When we arrived the front desk person was arguing with a bunch of guests because their reservation was lost. He was extremely rude to them and we waited a half hour to get checked in. He was... Great place to stay at when you're planning to visit Montreal for attractions in downtown Montreal. The place was sanitary but it's a bit small. They provided breakfast but it would be an extra $8 per a person. They have different suits for different prices. I stayed in a room with a queen sized bed, with a washroom for $125... More

I've stayed here the last two visits to Montreal. Very affordable room rates and located on Rue Ste. Catherine's near UQAM. It's geared toward a younger crowd but is accommodating to all types. Great location for a very reasonable price. Don't be put off by the fact it's located next to a sex shoppe. On my second visit, I went... More

This was my first trip out of the country and I had no clue what to expect. Thank goodness that I chose this hotel. It was clean. The staff members were very friendly and accommodating. Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.

High ceilings, bare brick walls, maple-wood floors, continental doors are reminiscent of the past and give our hotel a unique personality. Each hotel is in a separate building linked by a common lobby and reception. A single entry serves both hotels in a 4 storey centennial building. All our rooms and studios are equipped with an air-conditioner and cable television.
