Visited this B&B on a quick two day buisness trip during the week. They are not staffed after 8pm... We arrived around 1030pm, they had the keys with detailed instructions of where to park and how to get to our rooms/ had the room keys ready for us in envelopes when we arrived ( I just called ahead to let... Auberge Les Bons Matins is perfectly placed to walk to restaurants, shopping, Bell Center; as well as, easy access to highway 720. We stayed in room 701, which is on the second floor at the back side of one of the 3 row houses with possibly original pine floors & brick feature wall, comfortable bed, small bathroom and a café... This is a really amazing place to stay. It has a nice european charming style. The location is just perfect one step away from the metro station. The rooms are clean, spacious, very pretty and artistic: colorful, big paintings on the walls, the bed is very comfortable. The family suites also have a fire place and jacuzzi in the bathroom... Very charming and romantic, the Suite is a better way to go as it offers a bit more room than their normal rooms. Location is perfect for several things as the Bell Center was a 5 minute walk and the Metro is a few steps from the front door. Loved it and when we return to Montreal, this will be... More

My first experience in a B & B. Charming place. Historic feeling buildings, nice decor. Friendly staff. Nice location. Nice price. And amazing breakfast! We booked at hte last minute and ended up with a room with a private bathroom down the hall. It worked out fine. Thank you!

Funky decor...was fun. GREAT room, very clean (A+ in my book) high ceilings, comfortable bed, large bathroom, plenty of seating besides the bed, including a table to eat at. The room I stayed in had a kitchen when you entered the certain section I was located. Full frig, coffee maker, micro, full stove, and all you need to cook if... More

Several friends stayed in this lovely B & B for two nights preceding a week-long cruise out of Montreal. Four of us had the advantage of the apartment #801 which sleeps 4. It could easily accommodate a family as there was a full kitchen and two queen beds along with a living room and spa-included bathroom. As you can tell,... More

This unusual B&B occupies several of the terraced houses in Argyle Avenue, and is located a few minutes walk from Lucien l'Allier metro station, and a block downhill from the airport bus stop. Although it's close to the railway line, there was very little noise - we heard one train during the evening and another after waking in the morning,... More

We only stayed one night but were very happy with the room and the service. We stayed in 601 which is a wonderful, large room. The furnishings and artwork are beautiful. We had to leave early in the morning to get to the airport, and the staff accommodated our schedule and provided an early breakfast with cheerful smiles. Wish we... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
