Stayed here for one night with a group from work. I'll definitely go back with my husband. Rooms are lovely, beds are very comfortable! The bar is spectacular, although the service is quite slow, better to go when you're not in a hurry.

Spent 3 wonderful days in Montreal, and the highlight may have been Hotel Le St James. The room was beautiful, the hotel is charming. We checked in very late, but they were nice enough to give us a short tour of this historic building. We enjoyed the spa, it really is gorgeous. Had a nice dinner at XO. The best...

This is a former bank converted into a first-class luxury hotel. It is a small boutique hotel for sure but includes a warm library with a fireplace and suites with every desired amenity. The XO Restaurant is a must. Order the tasting menu with wine pairings for a truly unique experience. It is walking distance to the Notre-Dame Basilica -...

Hotel Le St James is an amazingly wonderful boutique hotel in Old Montreal. Its location is central to the delights of Montreal. It's in a beautiful recently renovated century old building. The décor is superb. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very quiet. The restaurant is fine dining standard. The service from all staff is impeccable, particularly from reception staff...

Really poor customer service. My flight out of Seattle was cancelled today due to snow storms in the area. The airline was gracious enough to refund my fare even though they usually don't do so for inclement weather. However, this hotel refused to do the same... they told me I should have called them sooner as if they expected me...

The Le St. James lived up to it's reputation for sophisticated elegance. I arrived early and my spacious room with it's poster bed was ready upon my arrival. The spa, originally the banks vault is wonderful. The library cozy and relaxing. The bar and restaurant pricey but worth it. Best location for a stroll to old town. Well known as...

This property is ideally located for taking in Old Montreal. During the late 1800s and the early 1900s, this street was the major financial district of Montreal, and many of the older bank buildings have maintained much of their beautiful architecture, but now have other uses. From what I understand, the St. James building was once the Merchants Bank of...

First class service at every turn. The rooms are so quiet that with the heavy curtains drawn you are insulated from everything. It would be hard to overstate how classically beautiful this place is ... a gem. Downtown in a good location for walking with easy access to taxi, Uber or whatever you need. This old school, rock solid, structure...

Spent a night at this hotel as part of a package. Included a lovely tasting meal at XO, breakfast and late check out. Was a birthday present for my wife. Great choice, beautiful room, location and professional staff. Enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our new romantic getaway

Staying in Quartier International

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier International
Designed to connect and beautify unused space, today the Quartier International is like a transversal piece of modern art. The distinctive design flair is most apparent at its focal point, the Palais des Congres, a convention centre and retail space with a multi-coloured glass exterior and an equally bold interior motif. Outdoors too, the Quartier is friendly towards public art exhibits along its stylish, plotted city squares, with extra-wide sidewalks meant to encourage long strolls and shaded benches available for absorbing the atmosphere. Fresh air and promenades characterise the area, from the foliage of Victoria Square to the fountain of Place Jean-Paul Riopelle, while the restaurants along Rue Saint-Antonie Ouest and Metro stops modeled in the Parisian style give off European glamour.
