We had a great stay at this B+B. Denis has done a wonderful job with the building and it feels like walking into a parlor from the by-gone era. The location is walking distance from Old Montreal, the Jazz Festival, and near the metro stops. The breakfasts were lovely, and different every day - delicious freshly made omelets, bagels, fruit...

located downtown, just a 20 min walk away to old Montreal, the Victorian heritage BnB makes you feel like you have stepped into a Victorian era..the house is beautifully restored, and the rooms are charming, I loved the claw footed tub in the bedroom. And the breakfast was delicious and the variety was just right,I especially loved the smoked salmon...

We recently stayed here for 4 nights in the Heritage Suite, our friends had the Garden suite. The rooms were amazing. Clean, spacious, and decorated beautifully. We were able to have a peaceful and comfortable sleep each night bThe location in the Latin quarter is close to great restaurants, and the Metro. The breakfasts were different each morning with wonderful...

Denis was our host. His preservation of this old building is immaculate. We had a great stay. Breakfasts around the grand table were a delight. Great location! I guess some people like the giant claw foot bath tub in the room, but not for us. The walk in shower was better. We were three couples and had adjacent rooms, very...

We recently stayed here for 2 nights and can't say enough good things about it. Stayed in the dormer room since it was the only one available. It was clean and charming with everything we needed and more - modern bathroom, hair dryer, plenty of outlets, air conditioning, comfortable bed and bottled water. Breakfast was delicious (fresh mango/strawberry fruit cups,...

Stepping into this exquisite establishment is like taking a step back into Victorian times. Elegant surroundings, gracious host, delightful staff, pristine rooms, sumptuous breakfasts... Truly, why choose to to stay anywhere else? To us, Victorian Heritage is the jewel in downtown Montreal's crown. To my sister who recommended we surround ourselves in gracious elegance; and to the host & staff...

What beautiful decor! It felt like stepping back in time to the Victorian era. Everything was good but not outstanding. Breakfast was limited in time and choices but tasted fine. The location was good, about three blocks from the bus lines. The bed was very firm but we slept well. We have no complaints but would probably stay elsewhere if...

We don't normally go overboard with descriptions of the bed rooms or public rooms but when we walked into our room - the Garden Retreat we both went wow. It has just been renovated and what a great job has been done with it - comfortable, spacious, great bathroom and a 65" TV that doesn't look out of place. On...

My boyfriend and I recently stayed here for four nights in the dormer room. There's no doubt this is a beautiful house, but our impression of the host gave a major hotel chain vibe rather than a warm and welcoming B&B. I say our experience was average for several reasons. We were greeted by Denis upon arrival and given a...

Who is not a fan of hotel chains or standard hotels, should definitely book this hotel. It ist ideally located and very stylish. The owner and his team are extremely friendly and helpful. The room, the breakfast - the wholehouse is of relaxing and recreation - Thanks to Denis.

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
