Nothing fancy about this place- simple, somewhat clean, basic, and located in an excellent location near restaurants, bars, old town, and museums. There is no parking here and you will have to pay for parking at the underground lot of the mall about three blocks away. This hotel has a cute 2 star Lobby and an awesome waffle cafe attached...

I had two separate bookings at Villa Hotel, so was able to experience two different rooms: 302 and 512. Despite the best efforts of jovial night manager Francis whose stock-in-trade joke was to state that the C$5 key deposit was 'not for his lunch', the first room I had faced Rue Sainte-Catherine and gave me not just 'exposure' to noisy...

We booked a double room with shared bathroom. We are travelling across Canada over the month and so our accommodation is booked on price location and cleanliness. There were reviews re bed bugs... But we so no sign at all. In fact the rooms and beds were changed daily by the maid service, towels replenished - great service. We were...

Right on the main street and easy walking distance to everyting we were able to park for a fairly low price and grab bikes to get around. Weekend parking is $11 so we lucked out being that it was the weekend otherwise you can pay close to $25 a day. Our room was unique, it had two beds but they...

Situated in the heart of Center Montréal Only 2 minutes out of the closest Métro (Saint-Laurent) It's very convenient and thanks to that makes everything in town accessible in around 10mins The place has gone old already but it's safely clean The room is OK-clean (but not surgically...) The bed and mattress are OK-clean (old, refreshed but not pristine) The...

Located downtown on a busy street, very clean but does not have the amenities of the more expensive hotels , excellent knowledgeable staff , safe, and very good bang for the buck. Nice restaurant in same building , parking nearby , worth a stay

I spent two nights in this hotel and as far as I remember, it was the worst hotel experience ever for me. The location is pretty good, not far from the center but take into account that there is a sex-shop just next door and a strange neighborhood. I would be really scared walking to the hotel by myself. The...

Booked the place for two nights last week, with a group of friends. We chose it based on the location, because we wanted to be walking distance to most good places in Montreal. From that point of view, great choice. BUT: the place is in a bad need of a wash, and an upgrade was needed 10 years ago. The...

STAY AWAY!! My girlfriends and I decided to take a night downtown Montreal to visit some friends, I've come to visit home as I work and live 8 hours away and was only in town for a very short period of time. I entered the hotel thinking it was clean and the gentleman at the front desk was more than...

We went to Montreal for our annual sister trip! We needed a clean, close to everything hotel and we got what we needed! The staff, especially Adem (hope it' s spell right ☺️) is really nice and professional! The price is good compared to some hotels we stayed at the years before! It is close to bars, resto and shopping......

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
