We were here 3 years ago and the the hotel at a November special and glad we did. Our room was very large and clean. The staff were very friendly and when up and beyond to service us. The breakfast was all that was needed until late lunch. Lots of variety to choose from and the coffee was hot and...

We felt completely at home at Le Germain. The location was perfect for our four night stay in late November. The old city and Chateau are within easy walking distance and the restaurants in the immediate district are the best in the City (in my opinion). Be sure to have lunch at Bistro Du Cup and Cafe St Malo. The...

By far my favorite hotel in Quebec City for business trips or for a romantic getaway. Very classy. Unbeatable bedding, highly professional service, worth the highest standards. I highly recommend it. 💯 👊

Great way to experience France/Paris without the long flight. Quebec City restaurants, and worth an extended stay. Old City location often requires a walk up the hill but you'll need the exercise because of the great meals.

My partner and I stayed at Hotel Le Germain for 4 nights in late November. From check-in to checkout the staff was friendly, helpful and professional. The lobby is fantastic with a large fireplace that was always burning. A great spot to warm up after a day out in QC. The included continental breakfast is quite satisfying. We had a...

We stayed here for four nights. I’ve stayed at the Montreal location and that one is better which is why I’m giving this place 3.5 stars. I do like the historical aspect of the hotel, it gives it some charm. The hotel staff are great, very helpful and friendly. The parking lot is directly behind the hotel so you can...

We stayed two nights over a weekend. The location was great for exploring the port and old Quebec area all within walking distance. The hotel is very trendy. Our room was on the 7th floor facing the city. When we checked in we had the option of river view or city view which was a nice touch. The room was...

I stayed here 40+ nights in the last 6 months (business travel). Location is close to many restaurants (while none of the best ones are within immediate distance, a 10-15 min walk will take you to good ones such as Legend and Boulay Bistro) but not smack center of old town as are other hotel options. Pros: -Cozy lobby :...

We enjoyed three nights in this tastefully decorated small hotel. The hotel is located just outside the Old Town which was easy to walk to. The staff are welcoming and are all bilingual (especially helpful as we do not speak French!). I agree with another reviewer that it is more of an 'adult' hotel, rather than for children, as it...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The neighbourhood that saw the birth of Quebec. The hotel was inaugurated in 1997 in the former office building of Dominion Fish & Fruit Limited, erected in 1912, and enjoys an enviable location on Saint-Pierre Street in the heart of Quebec City's historic Old Port district. The hotel possesses the elegance, comfort and refinement that are distinctive to all Le Germain Boutique-Hotels. Although completely renovated, it still exudes the charm of yesteryear, thanks to efforts to preserve its historic character. Somehow, the hotel has a soul, and it's this in particular that attracts guests. Relaxing Comfort In Serene Surroundings. The rooms, where meticulous attention to detail reigns, each deliver a slice of history. Guests will nevertheless find that the design and amenities have a modern feel, allowing them to fully enjoy a relaxing oasis in the heart of a neighbourhood as picturesque as it is lively. ... more   less
