We did a bus tour from old Quebec City...we left at 12:30 and 40 minutes later we arrived at the ice hotel. We spent 1 1/2 hours exploring then back to old Quebec...enough time to see everything. The structures and especially the magnificent ice sculptures were very impressive. It's incredible how this work of art gets rebuilt every winter by...

Went ice skating during my stay. The weather was snowing all day and the path was not clear. Very difficult to skate on. The young girl at the desk to rent skates spoke very little English. She made me hand over my license to rent the skates. When I returned the skates I forgot all about the license and the...

I went with a group of friends to the Ice Hotel and it was incredible. Although they change every year the theme of the hotel, this year was impressive. The hotel has a bar, church, and rooms for people to stay overnight. I didn't stay at the hotel, but I visited the rooms and had a couple of drinks at...

We didn't actually stay here, we only toured it. And it was fun, if a bit cheesy. It was cool to learn how they construct the hotel, a bit of history and other tidbits. It was also really fun visiting the ice hotel guest rooms. This year it's on the grounds of the huge Valcartier winter park/hotel, which is very...

I should have visited this place at least once and I'm so glad I did it, it was a part of my day trip and spent half a day there, it's unbelievable how they make this hotel from scratch every year for just 3 months and it's great to support them by visiting if not staying there ... each room...

I had heard of Hotel de Glace and was impressed that the hotel is built from scratch each year. As a Ontarian wanting to support local tourism, I had been eyeing to visit the hotel and when I saw a Groupon for two, I splurged. Overall, the Ice Hotel itself is very interesting and well done. The craftsmanship shows and...

Pros: the hotel itself is gorgeous. I highly suggest to choose a premium room with a fireplace, it totally changes the experience by providing some light and warm for a couple hours. As you keep your regular hotel room, you have a back up plan if for some reason you do not like it, are unable to sleep or wake...

I visited the Hotel de Glace in February 2017. I took a "Behind the Scenes" tour of the hotel, but did not spend the night. This tour allows you to make an ice glass in the hotel's workshop and then enjoy a drink from it in the hotel bar. You are then free to explore the hotel's rooms and suites...

We stayed at the Hotel de Glace one night mid Feb 2017. It was around -20*C outside so we were a bit apprehensive, but it went fine and we had a lot of fun! Overall, it's a really expensive once-in-a-lifetime experience which is cool, but not sure it's worth sooo much $$$. Make sure you take advantage of all the...

We aren't ones to complain but the handling of our reservation was horrible. Let me say, like most people, this has been on our bucket list for years. So when my husband surprised me on Christmas with a romance package to Hotel de Glace for Valentine's, I was over the moon!!! We finalized the details of our trip together, checking...
