Three words to describe this place: Location, cleanliness, price Even on my google searches before the trip, I had no idea how perfectly located this hotel was. Right in front of the fortifications, 500m from Chateau Frontenac, walking distance to St. Jean street (where the best pubs and restaurants are located). It was walking distance from absolutely all major attractions... More

This hotel is very good in terms of cleanliness and location. It is right at the wall of the Old city so great for walking around, yet a little out of the hustle and bustle. The room was clean, although we had a "view" of an inner area that housed the air conditioning and other equipment. The room was large... More

This is a family business now being run by the 2nd and 3rd generation. The well-maintained 1845 house is most impressive. Our room was in the attic: three flights up the somewhat slippery spiral staircase. This room is best for the sure-footed! We loved the room. It was really big and elegant. Breakfast is included if you stay more than... More

What a wonderful find. Perfectly located steps from the Citadel and minutes walk from Place d'Armes and the magical lower town. The owners were gracious hosts, eager to accommodate. Plus, it has an upscale Thai/Vietnamese associated with the hotel. I highly recommend a stay at La Chouette.

My family of five decided to start planning a long weekend trip to Winter Carnival a few months before it started. We were delighted to land two affordable rooms in the conveniently located Auberge La Chouette, especially since it happened to be the coldest weekend of the winter so far! We had a good continental breakfast (nothing cooked) onsite each... More

Definitely worth a look. Friendly staff. Try the restaurant even if you don't stay there. Authentic Cambodian, Vietnamese, Thai food. Located right beside the main wall of the historic fort. Super close to all historic sites, museums, etc.

What a find this hotel is. The location can't be beat with parking (paid) close by, the number 21 bus which loops the Old Town ($2) right at the door, easy walking to everything, and best of all directly next to the wall and gate so you can always find your way back easily. Rooms are large, clean and full... More

Within the walls of old Quebec City and short walking distance to The Citadel and Plains of Abraham. Close proximity to shops and restaurants along the upper section of the city. Rooms are clean well furnished.

Orchids on the window sill of our room becomes the metaphor for our stay. If you understand how much care you need to provide an orchid to bloom you will get a feel on how each room is meticulously attended. Best value for price.
