Our second visit to Quebec, 1st time in Winter and 2nd time we have stayed at the Maison du Fort Hotel. Wonderful place, centrally located to everything in Old Quebec City within the wall, or ramparts as they say here. Close to a lot, but on a quiet street. Marielle, the owner is very charming and makes you feel very...

My wife and I stayed there for 2 nights, it was the best place that we stayed in old Quebec. Old architecture but newly renovated, and renovated by top notch tradespeople. It is very tastefully done, new with the old. They have nice stone walls and modern bathroom amenities. sharp crisp lines and old world charm. It was during the...

We spent 5 days after Christmas and it was wonderful. The hotel is nestled in the beautifully decorated old town where we could walk to restaurants, skiing, skating, shopping, river, etc. Our family of three stayed on the fourth floor which is beautifully decorated. Marielle is a gracious hostess. Delicious continental breakfast. Most special was Oscar the cat whose visits...

I chose this hotel over the others in the area mostly due to the hostess' welcoming and helpful demeanour. Marielle, from the get go, went out of her way to accommodate my requests regarding my "not so mobile" mother in law. She provided us with outstanding service and her welcoming personality charmed us all upon our arrival. The rooms were...

I'm so happy that we decided to stay here! I was looking for a unique place to spend our son's 18th birthday weekend. I wanted a place that looked historic on the outside, was in a great location, was affordable (family of 4), didn't have too many extras we wouldn't use (pool, workout facilities, 5 star restaurant, bar, etc.), but...

We were steps away from Chateau Frontenac and Vieux Quebec. The location was quiet and safe. Marielle was lovely and so helpful. The light breakfast was perfect and a great way to catch up with other guests. We would definitely return!

We stayed here in late August, and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay! The hotel is very close to the picturesque Chateau Frontenac and terrace that overlooks the majestic St. Lawrence River, as well as shopping and restaurants. We had a room on the third floor, which gave us an amazing view of the old city, and...

We found this place on TripAdvisor - and we are glad we did. Our host was welcoming and wanted us to settle in and feel at home - and that we did. Our room was spotless and really well presented and was an inviting setting when we would enter the room after a day of exploring Quebec. It was hard...

Found Maison du Fort on Trip Advisor. We spent two nights in Quebec City prior to joining a cruise. Accommodation was excellent. Marielle was a very helpful host and Oscar the cat was the master of the house.
