Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you have a car to go around Quebec this should suffice. Worth it if the price stays low. Missed having a breakfast included for the price we paid, but the room was large enough and with enough room for my family, so it all balanced out.

Dear glifgm, Thank you for staying with us and for taking a moment to rate your experience. You see us sincerely sorry for not being able to offer a service up to your expectations during your stay at Auberge Québec. Auberge Québec does not provide breakfast and only serves coffee and juice in the morning. Sincerely, Félix Désilets

My first impression this room looked like a brothel room. The sofa was torn in in many places and the balcony was littered with cigarette stubs and dried leaves. Not a very enticing place to sit and relax.

We stayed here as part of our fly drive tour of Eastern Canada. The hotel is on the outskirts of the city although close to the main highways. There is a bus stop a few meters from the Hotel with buses running every half hour at a reasonable charge which we felt was better than driving into Quebec. The hotel was clean but felt a bit dated. A complimentary self service breakfast was included which comprised cereal, toast (various breads) and fruit which was adequate. Free parking and free internet wi-fi was a bonus. There is a good shopping mall within walking distance across the road

Once great I’m sure. Called in before arriving to make sure we had an easy check in.
Area around hotel is under construction but no mention of it during my 2 calls. Once onsite they made a strong effort to screw up. Wouldn’t take a credit card from our employer over the phone. Hotel is outdated and basement rooms smell. No one was able to get wifi to work and to top if off the continental breakfast consisted of hot water. No answer when calling reception.
Never again with Jaro hotels

Dear Virageault, Thank you for staying with us and for taking a moment to rate your experience. First of all, know that we take our guest’s feedback very seriously and are committed to constantly improve the experience we offer them. Regarding your comment on the duration of the check-in upon arrival, we followed up with our reception colleagues and the person concerned to make them aware of the importance of the quality of the service offered. Several new colleagues have joined the team recently. This is not an excuse to explain the situation, but a perfect example for them to learn. We hope to host you again during your next visit to Quebec City. We will watch over the quality of your stay. Sincerely,

I stayed in the Auberge Quebec August 27th to 28th 2022. room 159

I would like to send an official compliant on the disgusting unbelievable room # 159. With the toilet paper cover the ceiling holes and hair in the towels. This room should be abolished and never rented out. We did not sleep properly and had fear there would be a ceiling leak and with the disgusting hair in the towels proof this room should be condemned! I expect a credit for this crappy hole room! You could be 100% sure I will be posting this on ALL SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS!

Issues from room to pool. Room was outdated, dingy and falling apart. Floor tile in bathroom cracked/broken...had to put towels down to protect my childrens feet. Mold in mini fridge, cracks in ceiling, heard every step in room above. Odour in room upon arrival. Pool was dirty and had algae on bottom and was unheated. People next room smoking pot beside our room. Only positives were friendly staff upon check-in/out and beds were clean and comfortable. Mentioned issues to gentlemen at check out...he will let maintenance know. Called head office haven't heard back. Much more better options out there...no value for the money in my opinion and not a good place for children.

We arrived and were required to pay in full up front before we even saw our room or the rest of the hotel. The bedding had bloodstains on it and when we called the front desk they were very unhelpful and pretty much told us they were unable to do anything. We received an old throw blanket tied in rope to replace our double comforter that was stained in blood. After complaining about the tiny blanket for two people, the gentleman went away and came back saying I could take bedding out of an unused room. Overall the room was very hot and didn’t feel clean. The couch had several rips on it and was half lopsided. We were extremely disgusted and displeased with our stay. We intended on staying 4 nights but ended up canceling after the first night and went elsewhere. I cannot recommend this location to anyone.

Dear Mrs. Melanie, Thank you for staying with us and for taking a moment to rate your experience. We are sorry for the delay in responding to your review. There have been many changes recently in our direction which has created an oversight of your retrospections. We are extremely concerned by the issues encountered and we sincerely apologize for the way the situation was handled. We also assure you that the issues with the quality of the service and the cleanliness do not meet our standards. Be assured that the proper follow-ups will be carried out with the concerned teams Sincerely, Auberge Québec

Excellent room and very quiet. The only reason I removed a star is for the strange smell in the hotel and room. It sure could use an update but everything you need is there and the location is perfect!

The bus is 2 minutes away and you can park if you have a car. Very convenient!
There are a few places to eat around as well!

Maybe 40years ago was nice. Seemed like original carpets that stank. AC did not work enough to cook room, was like a sauna. Stunk like smoke. First room had door to parking lot that was wide open as soon as we entered. Not safe. Only stayed for the price but would never cheap out again
