I stayed at Couette et Cafe Champlain with my fiance last summer while traveling throughout Quebec. The B&B, although a little far from the Historic Downtown, was within walking distance for a couple 20-something travelers enjoying the nice cool Canadian summers. We were greeted warmly when we arrived by Alexandra and had a nice clean room to stay in. Breakfast... More

The hostess was so helpful and friendly! The place was clean. It was pretty basic, though--a very plain, small room with a terrace for breakfast. The breakfast baked goods were all homemade, we were told, and there were plenty of them though they weren't very flavorful. This is an affordable and clean place for anyone who doesn't desire some charm... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here during a weekend getaway to Quebec City. We have some mixed feelings about this place but overall it was a nice experience. I was able to book this place for two weekend nights in late June only 3 days in advance, when another half a dozen places I called didn’t have any rooms. A... More

Alexandra was a perfect host - warm, welcoming, and informative. The room (with 2 twin beds) was clean and very cute with nice decorative touches. It was very quiet (which surprised us given the noisiness of the street outside.) A sliding glass door opened to a private terrace where we ate our breakfast of homemade breads and hot chocolate. The... More

The hosts were really nice and they helped us whenever we needed help. The only thing is that it is at least a 20 minutes walk to get to the main attractions.

This hotel is located about 10 min driving from Vieux Quebec, so its ideal if you have a car, especially because it has free parking in the street. If not there is a bus that takes to the city center. The room was not huge but ok in size. We stayed in shared bathroom room. Each room has a very... More

unfortunately, the previous reviewer was right, this is only a place to go if you cannot find anywhere else, let`s say at the last minute. No fresh bakeries, all store bought and dry. No fruit or cheese or chocolat. The breakfast served in the room is a nice touch but it was of poor quality. For a couple from Paris... More

We picked this B & B because we were traveling with bicycles and it provided secure storage. We were not disappointed. Jean Luc was a friendly and efficient host who spoke English well. Our room was quite comfortable and very clean, with a small bathroom and a great balcony facing the wooded hill behind the house. The room was air... More
