We stayed in a charming, well-appointed cottage. The staff and owners were very welcoming and the food was delicious. Highly recommended. Isunga was our first lodge in Uganda and set the bar so high that none of the other places we stayed quite measured up!

Lovely, intimate lodge overlooking Kibale National Park. Tidy and well-appointed bungalows: comfortable bed, plenty of closet space, great shower. Food is delicious. Staff is friendly and professional. Pathway from parking to lodge is somewhat steep.

The lodge is in a beautiful location. The food is 5 star For two ladies in their 60’s the view is worth the short walk to the cottage. The cottages are described as simple elegance. The staff go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable . Will definitely come back

We stayed here for two nights. It’s fantastically well run. We stayed on wonderful self contained cottage with stunning views of the Kibaale Forest. Every member of staff was kind and thoughtful. Meals, both set and packed lunches, we’re delicious. Our stay enabled us to visit the habituated Chimpanzees and the Crater Lakes but we loved sitting and talking on the verandas in this perfect place. Thank you.

This was, without any doubt, our best stay during our two weeks in Uganda. We were welcomed in the most friendly way. The care that the staff took of us was amazing. Unlike many of the other lodges that we visited, the food was varied and very good (we are vegetarian and had no problems). The rooms, in the form of little houses, are amazing. We had the most incredible view. We highly recommend Isunga Lodge to anybody!

Amazing location with the most stunning views. Rooms are incredible. Food was amazing. Would recommend this to anyone. Steep walk to rooms would be my only pointer to others. We all loved it! Thanks to all the fabulous staff who were all so helpful and polite. Thanks for an amazing stay.

Lovely rooms with balcony. Food excellent, service fantastic, in room massages available thai and deep tissue were enjoyable at end of strenuous day. Paths to cottages were not the easiest if you have difficulty walking but they provide flashlight s. The laundrybwas done quickly and efficiently as well as shoes were drycleaned. The room and beds were super comfortable. Reservations are a must as super popular and with good reason as its the only place in area i would recommend

AMAZING! While it was a bit of a drive to get too, the views over Kibale and Lodge itself were amazing. Porters thankfully carried our gear up and down the steep trail to our cottage, which was huge, including an additional sitting room and small front porch. Beds were very comfortable. Additional scenic viewing off a lovely porch off the dining room to enjoy a glass of wine before dinner. The food was plentiful and gourmet-fabulous. Staff were very attentive and flexible with our early breakfast time need due to chimp trekking. I wish we would have stayed here more than two nights!

Exceptional view of the Kibale forest, very warm welcome, hearty, refined and quality meals. The rooms with terraces are refined and elegantly decorated. Magnificent garden with trees. Our stay was perfect and it was the lodge that we preferred on our entire trip. A big thank you to the staff and a special dedication to Denise, who was my favorite of this trip. Thank you Denise for your radiant smile, your sparkling eyes, your great professionalism and your immense kindness which touched me a lot.

Isunga Lodge is one of the most serene places we’ve stayed in Uganda thus far. The cottages and main lodge have memorizing views of the Kibale Forest. The owners and staff were all very kind. There were many thoughtful little touches that made our stay a special one. I’d recommend Isunga Lodge to anyone looking to soak up the beauty of Fort Portal. We’d love to come back next time we’re in Uganda.
