Not much to add from the positive comments from other guests! I can remember only a few places like this one that I have visited around the world with such a perfect experience in every respect: from the professionalism of owners/staff, the quality of accomodation, the spectacular view on Kibale forest, the amazing food and every little details made our stay very special. Thank you

I have been staying at Isunga Lodge since 2017 and each time the team exceeds themselves. This time I stayed with my wife and two boys in their brilliant family cottage, which I wish was my home. Sparkling clean, beautifully decorated and spectacular views across Kibale NP and the Rwenzoris. Isunga serves by far the best breakfast in Uganda, including healthier options rather than standard bacon and sausages offered by most places. Lunches and dinner were also really good, and even the packed lunches were generous and tasty. The location is an excellent starting point for exploring the nearby crater lakes and the national park. If you're into cycling and running, you can find lots of trails near the lodge (though there is a lot of climbing involved!). All in all, I think the owners, Karen and Gerard, are doing an amazing job managing this gem of a lodge. A big thank you to them!

this is probably one of the nicest and most picturesque places we have visited in Uganda. Amazing views , complete serenity , and total privacy for all the cottages. The owner/ manager could, Karen and Gérard, are just amazing in their quality of hospitality and service. The food was par excellence, and we longed for meal times to come , so that we could gorge on the delectable fare that was laid out. We liked this place so much, we ended up staying an extra night , and still didn't feel like leaving. I would give this place 11/10 , and we definitely will be coming back again and again to this place.

Isunga lodge is beautifully and thoughtfully set-out - everything I wanted was provided at reasonable prices. Food is creative and delicious. An excellent base for a few days of walking around the crater lakes. Jerry & Karen are considerate hosts and are incredibly helpful! We felt the lodge is doing a great job of ensuring health & safety right now during COVID-19. Rooms are clean and comfy. Look forward to visiting again!
