Tinka's homestead is like staying at your own family home, with 5 generations living in the same building. It's the best place to come into contact of Ugandan daily life, Tinka is a fantastic host and all the food is homemade. I strongly recommend this homestead.

I had the time of my life staying here! Slowly getting to know the family was a real treat... Bridget cooks amazing Ugandan food, Tinka makes you laugh your butt off... there's five generations in this place! In general, everyone in the family is very warm and welcoming. You can have a whole building to yourself, with your room on...

being at Tinka's is one of the experience every tourist should taste before they move back. the great traditional foods served are so excellent that they could easily make you forgot about all the cheese and the chocolate you had in your years. the ice creams trees (my favorite) leaves me yearning for more that i can no longer hold....

We stopped for lunch at Tinka's and were all so impressed by how much he taught us about the local rural Ugandan culture, including the coffee harvesting process in a short time. His team then prepared the most delicious traditional meal, locally sourced including matoke, beans in sauce, plantain, rice & chicken. Really worth a visit for the excellent food,...

Came here with a g-adventures group following a chimp trek in Kibale forest, for a traditional lunch. Tinka was warm & welcoming, he spoke about the local area & culture & the fact the fairly recent addition of electricity is primarily used for charging mobiles & playing loud music.
