My wife and I have travelled Uganda extensively and this is the best lodge we have stayed in. Located on a crater lake, the lodge and cottages are simply stunning. We couldn't believe the rooms when we saw them: a bed so big you could get lost, a luxurious bathroom (always hot water) and that beautiful scent of staying in...

The location of the lodge is fantastic and views are breathtaking. It is located on the rim of a volcano crater lake. It is quite upscale and posh, especially taking the poor villages one needs to pass through on the way into account. The owner is supposed an “ex-backpacker” from the UK who fell in love with the lake and...

Kynaninga Lodge is a fantastic place to stay. Spectacular views and friendly helpful staff. The food is excellent and the owner Steve ,who built these eco friendly lodges,is keen to make sure you have a comfortable stay.... and he succeeds. The rooms are large and airy and we saw colobus monkeys in the mornings from our own private balcony ....

We were warmly welcomed when we arrived at Kyaninga. We were ushered into the main lodge as our bags were taken to our "cottage". We were offered lunch and ate with our guide overlooking the crater lake. The vistas cannot be beat. Our cottage was the last one at the end of the walkway. I must admit there were a...

This was our stop off before heading to Bwindi. The property is a collection of tree houses, with the view of a crater lake. Beautiful, but the smell of mold in our room was overwhelming. Unfortunately I am allergic to mold. The structure of the rooms makes mold unavoidable. The food was marginal at best. Staff was very nice but...

This place is a gem... if you are lucky to meet Steve the proprietor you will get a glimpse into a great adventure that is Kyaninga and what it stands for. The staff are excellent; they are very responsive, articulate and reflect a high standard of customer service... way above their peers in the industry. take advantage of the crater...

We arrived there at sunset after a long drive. Unbelievable location at the top of the hill, the views were astounding. The owner was very nice and welcomed us at the entrance. We went for a nice run downhill to the lake where we dip into the water. The lake was filaria free so there was no risk. The rooms...

This was our first stop in Uganda and even after three nights we never failed to be bored of the incredible views. Each of the 8 thatched lodges has unobstructed views of the gorgeous crater lake. The lodges are all a great size and the main building has fantastic tiered decking for sitting out at lunch and sunset. The food...

As part of our honeymoon we stayed at this amazing lodge. I cannot thank these guys enough for such a wonderful stay! We arrived to welcome drinks after a long drive, rose petals in our room and a wonderful honeymoon cake was baked for us on our first night, it was just magical. So quiet and relaxing and incredible views....

I barely take time to write a review on trip advisor but this is the least I can do to thank the Kyaninga team for one of the most amazing week end I spent in Africa. We came with friends to an event organized by the Kyaninga Children Development Centre, an association that helps disabled children (co-founded by Steve Williams,...
