As part of our honeymoon we stayed at this amazing lodge. I cannot thank these guys enough for such a wonderful stay! We arrived to welcome drinks after a long drive, rose petals in our room and a wonderful honeymoon cake was baked for us on our first night, it was just magical. So quiet and relaxing and incredible views.... More

I barely take time to write a review on trip advisor but this is the least I can do to thank the Kyaninga team for one of the most amazing week end I spent in Africa. We came with friends to an event organized by the Kyaninga Children Development Centre, an association that helps disabled children (co-founded by Steve Williams,... More

I went to fort portal for a dance weekend that was organized for KCDC (Kyaninga Children Development Centre) that empower children with physical disabilities (mainly but not exhausitvely). The management were very accommodating and made us feel welcome from beginning to end. The dance floor was great with a view of the lake to add to the atmosphere. I enjoyed... More

What a lovely place, staff are excellent, management very helpful and knowledgeable. Food was actually above expectations as we live in Uganda. Bring something warm ! We took the lake walk with child, hard work but worth it. The quality of wines available were very good and worked for me, and well priced.. They need a few more shaded areas... More

We were lucky enough to stay for 3 nights at Kyaninga Lodge and the whole thing was wonderful. The lodge is located in the most stunning location over looking the lake, the food was all delicious and the staff all friendly. I had a pedicure (much needed when living in Africa) and it was superb. The craft shop is very... More

We stayed for a couple of nights. We had room 6 which is nearest the main building; though it is still a steep climb. Amazing location on the rim of a crater lake which took us just over two hours to walk around with a helpful guide. Rooms are well designed and there's a nice big bath tub. We had... More

Lovely bungalows overlooking a volcanic crater lake. There is a walk around the lake that is worth doing. Bungalows are spacious and very well appointed. Staff are friendly and service is very good. Owner Steve and his wife are very active with community projects that the lodge supports. Good luck with cheese making initiative Rachel & Conan. Meals are all... More

Set just above the volcanic crater with a beautiful lake, the Lodge is a work of vision and creativity. You could not ask for a more inspiring setting or a friendly alpine feel to a homely lodge. The chalets are just perfect and feel warm and comfortable. The staff are superb in every respect and the food is of the... More

A great weekend away and our guide was lovely. The stars there were like nothing we've ever seen truly and even though we lived in Uganda at the time this was a great weekend away as a couple from Kampala.

We have been to several lodges in Uganda in the last year, and this one probably has the most breathtaking views and best service. The cottages were wonderful (maybe the outdoor seat cushions could use a change) and had everything we needed or wanted, as did the lodge area. The staff was very attentive - there were sometimes small errors... More
