We took my mother and stepfather to this charming restaurant run by an English couple - Paul and Val. We have a holiday home nearby and we booked a table on our first night there. We had a delay at the airport and therefore late for our booking but Val and Paul were fine about this and we had a...

Lovely little Chambre d'hôtel (b&b) in the Pyrenees, with gorgeous views and our room shared a terrace wide enough to have meals on. Bed a little creaky (even without hanky panky!) and needed a fan on in hot weather - I think the chalet has air conditioning but we had the blue room. The hosts are English and have written...

Thank you for your review. It was disappointed to receive only 4 stars but then I realised that you were travelled with the other couple who only left us 3 stars in their review (the first time in 8 years that we have received such a poor review). I have responded fully to their very negative review and I hope...

My wife and I stayed at the Aux Quatre Saisons in Axat in 2014 and enjoyed ourselves very much, Paul and Val were very entertaining and welcoming. We enjoyed it so much we told our friends who said they would like to go. Consequently we decided to return this year with them. On our arrival we were greeted by Val...

Well, thank you for your review and comments. As it is our first negative review in 8 years of being open it deserves to be taken seriously and we do so. You raise numerous issues and it is difficult to know where to start. Perhaps with that in mind it is best to start with the one factually incorrect part...

Although we weren't staying with Val and Paul we had an excellent meal at their new restaurant. All the food was cooked with obvious love and care, much of it sourced locally. The cheeses stand out with Paul relating their provenence and giving us the opportunity to try several. Sitting under the mountains in the evening with no hassle was...

I would definitely recommend this restaurant, two set menus plus an a la carte, with plenty of choices, the food was delicious. There were ten of us to celebrate a 70th birthday and we couldn't have found better, hosts Paul and Val plus the waitress were very attentive and friendly, we all came away happy knowing we will return.

Aux Quatre Saisons have recently opened a restaurant open to the general public, and we were there on the opening night. Conveniently situated on the main road leading into Axat coming from Andorra, it will undoubtedly attract many visitors - and they will not be disappointed! We had a fantastic meal in very pleasant surroundings, and to finish of a...

the owners Val and Paul are great characters ... the prices are reasonable and if you get the chance to eat with them ...well this is an opportunity not to be missed . Paul is a natural raconteur , cook , estate agent and host rolled into a quintessential Englishman abroad ... we spent 4 1/2 hours around the dinner...

We stayed in the garden cottage for two magical nights. Sitting outside our room one night and observing two shooting stars was cool, but the real highlight was our 5 course, 4 hour dinner hosted by Val and Paul. The food was superb, the wine flowed freely and the laughter and wit were non-stop. An astounding value. You won't want...
