Had a great time. Owners are amazingly friendly and hospitable. They will not only help you our the best they could with logistics but they will call friends in those towns and see whats going on that night. Had a great group in the hostel, we all went surfing together. Great location.

I stayed at Caza Olas for 5 nights. It is a Good and Clean Place for Surfers to stay. It is a 3 minutes walk to the beach to surf and the beautiful sunset. Supermercado, BBQ Place and surfshop within Walking distance. The Kitchen is well equipped and offers enough possibilities for cooking. The dorm was quiet, clean and comfortable. If you dont surf you can hang around in the hammocks or the super Friendly employees can give you an idea what to do. Met a lot of wonderful People at this Place and most of them stay longer as they planned. Would go again.

Dead set one of the best hostels stayed at. Kitchen is massive, wifi is super fast, everything is really clean and all for a good price. Andrea is a legend and made us feel right at home. Location is great too, close to the wave and middle of town. Stop looking and book this place

I can recommend staying at caza olas 100%. It is a great place to hang out, make new friends and enjoy Pavones! It has by far the best kitchen I've ever seen in a hostel and the rooms are also very clean and nice. It's quiet at night so you can sleep early and be ready for a sunset surf in the morning. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the beach and free coffee is always ready around 5am and during the whole day. Andrea was a great host, he can help you with everything you need and answer your questions. He helped me a lot with the bus schedule haha. We also went surfing together and had some nice diner, talk and vino at the hostel :) There's always someone around and you'll never feel lonely. I didn't meet Jim because he was on vacation but I also heard only the best about him, too. Next door you can rent surfboards in all shapes and size and there are 3 supermarkets in walking distance. I really enjoyed my time in Pavones and I hope to come back soon! I already miss the waves, weather, people, dogs and hanging out in the kitchen hammock :)

Great place to stay in a dorm or private room. Warm, welcoming owner that reflects back to the guests that stay for a short or extended time. Very clean. Great open communal kitchen with everything you need to prepare fine meals. Prices are extremely reasonable for what the room or dorm provides. Secure and safe place. Great experience to fill yourself with the atmosphere of the little coastal village and a five minute walk to a world class surfing wave that brings people from all over the world!

We had a great time staying at Caza Olas and recommend it to everyone. Very well kept and clean. There was a cleaning lady there every day and she would also cook food for us if we asked. There is a full kitchen two refrigerators and plenty of fresh clean water which was kept cold for drinking.

Caza Olas has every trimming you could want for a surf trip -- hammocks, a spacious and super well-equipped kitchen, clean rooms with wooden floors and whitewashed walls, a jungle garden, and it's very close to the wave. But that's all superficial. Caza Olas has something more, something you find in very few places around the world. It comes from Andrea, the owner, who brings to his business great warmth and generosity and concern. During my stay no demand was too difficult. Andrea and his staff went out of the way to make sure all guests were looked after. It was a pleasure to stay at Caza Olas and over three weeks the company was wonderful, and the wave truly sublime.

I stayed at this hostel once in January and I loved it so much that I returned again and stayed for over a month! For the traveling surfer it hits the spot - experience the world class waves only 2-3 minutes walk from the front door, they have a secure bodega for safely storing your quiver in neat racks (you don't have to pile your boards in the bedroom), outside showers, and the occasional day trip with Andrea the owner to explore other surf spots. Because most people who visit Pavones are surfers, you can imagine there's always a great vibe at the hostel and often people are buzzing from having spent all day catching the best waves of their lives. I made great friends at this place. Some drinking and low-key partying happens at the bar in town but the hostel stays quiet for most of us who are there to eat-sleep-surf. For the general traveler the area around Caza Olas is beautiful and rich with wildlife, clear rivers and jungle treks. The rooms are really comfortable and cleaned thoroughly (the whole place is so clean all the time), there are new bathroom facilities, hot showers, same-day laundry service, a fully equipped kitchen with two big fridges and a freezer to sustain all the hungry surfers, plenty of eating and hanging out space, a huge avocado tree out the front, an upper deck with extra quiet hang out space and some hammocks to swing and nap. When you choose to stay here you won't be disappointed, and to seal the deal - you can enjoy free coffee all morning which is fresh prepared at 5am very day to help you wake up while you check the surf. ENJOY YOU TRIP!

I went to Caza Olas and intended to stay a few days. I ended up there for 3 months. This is a great hostel for anyone who wants to experience Pavones. It takes 2 minutes to walk to the wave. The kitchen may be the cleanest I have seen in any hostel, and the same can be said for the bathrooms and bedrooms. The wifi worked great and the beds were comfortable. It even has a hot water shower. Andrea, Lucie, and Marjoire are great, they make you feel like you are part of a family and they do not hesitate to help with anything that you may need. I can not recommend this place highly enough, trip advisor would only let me give it 5 stars, it deserves twice that much. it was a great experience and any surfer or traveler who wants to experience what Pavones is really like needs to stay here!
