Fantastic and very relaxing stay at the Rackery Retreat. Everything was very well done and the hot tub and views of were the best. The beds were really comfy as well. The oak has a lovely view and very private. Lots of places to visit in the surrounding area and we walked to Croes Howell pub for a really nice meal ( 20 min walk). We can’t wait to book again with family and friends.

We just spent a fun and relaxing weekend at Rackery Retreat. We are a group of female friends that stayed in the Beech to celebrate our 40th birthdays - a much needed break for all of us away from small children and day to day life! Larissa and Jake were super helpful in the run up to our stay with recommendations and info about the accommodation. We had contact from Gemma on the day about our arrival and when we got there, Andrew was very friendly and welcoming. It is a real family affair at Rackery Retreat and nothing is too much trouble. The site itself is very quiet and feels remote (especially if you’re used to city life like I am). The safari tent was spacious enough for our large group and we spent most of our time out on the terrace and in the hot tub. Even though we stayed during a hot spell, the tent was not too hot and it was nice and cool at night. We had a nice meal at the local pub one night (even if they had run out of wine!) and also did a 12km walk around the locality enjoying the beautiful countryside scenery. I would recommend Rackery Retreat to anyone - a group of friends like us but it would also suit couples or families. Certainly some of our party will return with their own families! Thanks again Andrew and the family for a great stay.

We have just returned from a 2night stay in The Oak. We travelled as 2 adults, 1 child (7) and a dog and it was just perfect! I was sceptical how our son would be without a TV or PS, this was the perfect opportunity to have good old fashioned quality time with out media distraction! The Oak in my opinion is the best situated as faces a scenic view and isn’t overlooked. Andrew was extremely welcoming, and even when booking there was great communication from the team. If you are looking for a place to switch off and unwind this is the place. The amenities are nearby and some lovely county pubs if you don’t fancy cooking. I wish we had booked longer! Thanks Rackery Retreat, we will be back soon 💙

cannot thank larisa enough! We had a Tui holiday booked, but got an email cancelling it 4 days before departure! After trying to contact Tui with no avail! we bookeked with larisa. however next morning a text and email from Tui confirming our flight!!!! Going into Tui we explained we had re arranged everything and booked a UK holiday! Tui, said, is was a generic email!!!!? and it didn't have your booking ref on it, so you have read the email wrong!!!?? (Iwe appologise for cancelling your flight so late is not cancelling?? !!) so if you don't go, you loose your money! no movement at all from Tui. fearing the worse, we thought we would also loose our money at the Rackery Retreat ! larisa was amazing, nope not at all! just amazing customer service! thank you Larissa. we will be with you for a short break before the end of the year. I know my daughter has been with you twice and loves it, hence why we booked

Really wish we could give this a 5 star review as we were so looking forward to it but having just returned unfortunately thats not the case. We booked for a 4 night stay but ended up packing up and leaving a night early due to noise from the other 2 tents. This could be a lovely 'retreat' if it was managed and advertised as simply that. It has the perfect setting to be that, however, the fact that loud music is allowed up until 8.30pm clearly doesn't paint the picture for a retreat. We had 2 perfect nights with the other 2 tents occupied, who were there as we were for a nice relaxing stay and posed no problem. However the 3rd night, the other 2 tents joined together to play drinking games and loud music until 11.45pm with shouting, obscenities and rude comments being shouted at the tops of their voices. We did let management know. However, on the Thursday morning they woke up and again congregated now in the middle tent, going out to purchase more alchohol and from the moment they woke up were loud again. We had a great day out and came back around 4.30pm to have a nice relaxing spa (not that this was that important as we have one at home) but to just chill but were met with the shouting, screaming, again that carried on until we finally couldn't hear ourselves think, let alone try and read a book on the porch, that we finally decided enough was enough and packed our things and left, therefore leaving one night early and missing out on the activities booked for the next day but this was not what we signed up for. We signed up for a relaxing 4 nights away, not being in the middle of Ayia Napa! They had been spoken to by the owners and said the magic word of 'sorry' which was obviously not genuine or they wouldn't have continued to the whole day and night again. The owners at first agreed to our request of a refund for the night but then after a very disappointing customer service response from them they pretty much laid the blame on us for leaving and offered a one night return stay. Why on earth would we want to return. The tents are nice but again, felt a few tweaks needed. Such a shame as this could be a really good place and business but still an awful lot to learn and clearly in its infancy. Would only recommend if you were hiring out all 3 tents.

We have just returned from a weekend of fun at Rackery Retreat celebrating with family and friends. We hired all 3 tents so we had no worries about disturbing anyone else. The tents are spotless and fully equipped. Beds made up on arrival and very comfortable! Small kit here but again equipped with all that you need. Top stove, kettle, toaster and fridge. No freezer though. Bathroom-lovely free standing bath with a separate shower... Beautiful views for you to enjoy whilst sat in the hot tub with a glass of fizz. We hired a chef for the Saturday evening! Excellent food. Would highly recommend!

A Beautiful safari tent in an amazing location, Andrew was very helpful and the whole stay was amazing. we stayed in the Oak which is very private, had a couple of take aways but The Swan was the best. Great for a family 👪 Will definitely stay again (if there's any availability)

Book it! We had a fantastic stay, so much so we extended and stayed another night. The accommodation, location, scenery and peace and tranquillity here is second to none. We are shift workers and came to get away from it all. If you are looking for a retreat that is of the upmost luxury, to do nothing but relax and unwind then this is for you. We spent hours in the hot tub admiring the views and wildlife, nipped into chester for a lovely meal and took a walk around the local area recommended by Andrew. This family are family goals. Talking to Andrew and Jenny was all part of the experience and it is clear what a hard working family they have been over the years. You have everything you need here and you will not be disappointed. The mix of a canvas safari tent and all the luxurys is perfect. The tents not only have a lovely log burner stove but also central heating! Book it up and make the most of getting away from it all!
