Stayed here for two nights. They've done some great restoration however, the bed quality is still very much lacking and the service in the bar and the restaurant is lacking. When I checked out they were quite unorganized and charged me again after leaving as they didn't have everything on one bill. I also accidentally left a electronic behind in... More

A fantastic but quirky hotel. The reception staff were brilliant and nothing was too much for them. It's not far at all from Bruges in a car. I went with my wife and 2 teenage children and not one complaint.

The building is nicely restored and room is very spacious. However: - room was very dusty. Layer of dust on the shaving mirror and the side tables; - room was very noisy. Every step the upstairs neighbours made, could be heard; - breakfast was appalling. Coffee was not offered and when it finally arrived at the table it was disgusting;... More

In a small village in the beautiful Meetjesland, you will find 'Het Godshuis'. This hotel and restaurant is located in an old hospice. After some years of renovation, the hotel opened its doors. The superoir rooms are really superior. Lots of square meters, airco etc. The restaurant was not bad, but there is an overall remark about the place. They... More

The hotel is nice but the combination hotel/partycenter (for weddings) is not good. If you have a room close to the end of the corridor (ending with number 008 and 009) you have a lot of noise. We couldn't sleep until 05.00 in the morning. Hotel staff is friendly, breakfast is very nice and the bulding is also very interesting.

Me and my husband paid 80 euro for Thursday night. The hotel is almost impossible to find if you don't have a TomTom. The sign outside the lane leading to the hotel is basically invisible. Then we drove through a very nice courtyard. At the reception, the guy didn't tell ask when the breakfast time was or the wifi password.... More

A very beautiful place, nice to stay there or to make short escapes. Don't forget that there are bikes to rent, you can ride along the channel not far from the hotel or go untill the sea, which is only 20 km away. A very nice team, everyone of the stuff was very attentive, non-formal approach towards the guests which... More

This is an huge19th century building that was built as place where people with different needs could be cared for. It has a laudible history. It was recently 'saved' and renovated. The renovation was done well and the building has an authentic feeling, not the least the breakfast hall. The breakfasts were very good. However, visitors must know what awaits... More
